I plan to cancel my Maybank Amex Gold Credit Card... can i use MR points to offset my balance ? how ?

Just gave AMEX CS a quick call to redeem my MR points to cash. You can only redeem in multiples of 200 points only.

Cancellation of the AMEX can also be done over the phone. No need to visit Maybank ;-)

How soon does it take for MR conversion to RM to reflect on the M2U Amex account ?

Yippee... My MR conversion to RM is shown on M2U (after approx 7 working days).

Time to CUT AMEX Gold CC.....or should I wait and see if my Feb 2010 spending gets any 15% cash back. whistling.gif whistling.gif

Also, it's too early to cut as Amex Gold cc was first introduced in June/July 2009 if I am not mistaken. Anyway, it is a good practice to plan ahead like you.

Just checked that Maybank did not charge my AMEX with RM50 GST... Better for me to clear the bill and CUT it tomorrow.

It's based on your statement date. Normally a few days after the Statement Date.

It seem MBB gave me back RM8.40 as Feb 2010 rebate eventhough I cancelled the card...nice one.

Stupid Maybank keep sending my monthly statement evenhough I have cancelled the card. Is it because of the RM8.40 credit in my account ?
