i dont think in 'financial problem', it should be slow sales......
*
Actually M6600 is selling very well at Malaysia. We sold more than 100pcs per month. Mostly in AV field. We see the potential market in IT also. That is why Dvico launch this budget type of N1. With this model, we believe that most of the consumers can enjoy the quality and user friendliness of the media player also.

Yes, coming month would be exciting. Many new Sigma 864X players coming out from China & once it become as common as the realtek based players, price will come tumbling down.
*
Until now, none of player with Sigma 864X can handle HD Audio pass Thru, even Popcornhour C-200 also. TViX M6600N with new chipset can support with HD Audio pass thru will touch down on April. Be ready for the HD Audio with 1283+.

HDx BD1 is currently using Sigma 8642 chipset which is handling both DTS HDMA and dolby True HD passthru/bitstream and also downmix. Xtreamer PRO which will be launching on May using Realtek 1283+ also will be the same as Dvico M6600N chipset will be doing HD Audio bitstream. smile.gif
*
We have tested BD1 but HD Audio pass thru still cannot work. If you follow the mpc club forum, even popcornhour C-200 HD Audio pass thru still cannot work also, after 7 - 8 months launched. Previous HDX900 and HDX1000 was using Syabas firmware. BD1 is their flagship which they setup their own development team. Well, they will take time to familiar with the audio world.

Is this media player another con job ? hmm.gif

I thought the some local  reviewers displayed pictures of the HD logo appearing on the AVR?

Sorry, need to amendment, playing HD Audio pass thru is not stable. Sometimes u need to toggle the audio button to get the HD Audio out or u get no sound. So, I don't think it is con job. But need time to stabilze this function.

Oh, that's mean now the media player doesn't support any HD audio at all? Seems like I have been cheated by someone saying that the POHD can support all HD audio format. Like that I think I'm gonna sell this player to someone else and wait for the real HD media player that can support real HD audio format, I'm heard that the 1073+ and 1283+ able to bitstream the true HD audio format, is that true?
*
Both N1+ and M6600N+ is ready with 1073+ and 1283+ in the market now. Estimate by mid or end of this month the HD Audio pass thru will be ready. Plus both of them can do smartphone or iPhone web remote control. It is worth of price.

Even the Realtek SDK for + still not ready, with the experience of Dvico team, HD Audio pass thru is under testing now, expected mid May, that is another week.

Xtreamer already can use Iphone or Smartphone with webbrowser as remote control more than 6 months ago...
It is a big different here:
1. Xtream Web Based Remote has so many buttons, and its display exactly same as their remote control
2. Dvico web-remote can control Music Server without power-on TV. But, Xtreamer cannot do this.

For your information, Dvico will provide more functionality of Web-Remote in the next Firmware Upgrade.
iPhone users don’t need to install any software. The multi-media play just need to upgrade Firmware that can support Web-Remote functionality.
They simply click ‘Safari’ and type the wireless IP address.

Cheers!

No need to wait for new SDK from Realtek. brows.gif 1.5 years ago, Dvico already granted the HD Audio license. thumbup.gif
