to be honest, giroud's aerial presence is a worry. not sure how howedes or mustafi is going to cope. not to mention griezmann and payet.

Cant really see Gotze replacing Gomez.

Hoping weigl or Can replaces khedira. Either one is fine although Emre is almost similar to khedira.

Goretzka, werner and henrichs are the non regulars that impressed me the most. The future is looking good.

And damn, not like the current first 11 is that old also. Loew gonna have some headache soon :sweaat:

and i am still not used to watching germany without lahm and basti. it has been 11 years since i started following the German NT man, they are there all the time. now their jerseys belong to someone else. tak biasa pulak

Loew has learnt well from his mistake against italy in 2012

About time Loew drops Khedira and Oezil and bring in Goretzka and Rudy. Bench draxler and give Reus or Brandt a chance.

The match against Mexico reminded me of the Loew's brainfart against Italy in 2012 and in some aspects, they did worse; no cover or whatsoever from the DM which in this case happened to be Khedira. All possession but lacking the right final pass. Sounds familiar?

We need someone who could be the midfield general and stamp his authority on the field. Kroos is one hell of a CM but he isnt that person.

All in all, the first match was a disaster - exposed defence, disorganized midfield and disoriented attack.

I am not surprised if Germany gets eliminated after the group stage is concluded should they continue to play in a lackadaisical manner.

My preferred line up: Neuer, Hector, Boateng, Hummels, Kimmich, Kroos, Rudy, Goretzka, Reus (Brandt), Mueller, Werner.
