Added on October 8, 2009, 3:59 pmanyone buying this? i've contacted their website but no reply. They're selling on ebay for US$200, slightly more than POHD but mpcclub has reviewed and confirmed playback of BDMV and BD-ISO.

i dun watch rmvb but i know without rmvb this wont be a hit here. lol

ya i know it's the same chip, that's why the same functionality...i'm collecting feedbacks from all sifus here...RM700 for bd-iso and bdmv playback and nothing else, no fancy internet surfing, no youtube...that's why...

At that price, I will stick with ACRyan...which looks much better

If elite Dvico 6500 using the same Sigma chip cannot do BDISO, sure boh this one can?

from review, no mention of HD audio bitsteam (from the screen menu, no HD audio mention also)

It played everything I threw at it with ease and played them well! I like the fact that it could play BD ISO and BD Folder playback well, something that the new crop of players using the Realtek SOC are failing miserably to do so far.

I agree with AR188 that this is perhaps a better alternative compared to the Realtek based players. But there are a few glaring mistakes on the review:

1 - Ronin BD ISO at 7.9GB? Might as well just release on a D9.
2 - No test of HD audio bitstream. But since Dvico can do it, I'm sure this one can as well.
3 - No "real" network port. Yes it includes a USB-to-LAN converter, but no real tests of streaming BD across the network was done. The BD ISO and BDMV tests cannot be used as the average bitrate is only 10Mbps.
4 - BDMV playback just selects the biggest M2TS file and plays it. Boo!
5 - Didn't mention anything about PGS subtitles and language changing.

My 2 cents.

I'm still using my Sarotech 260X I bought last year with a 2.5" sata HDD inside..
Its also Portable FUllHD 1080p...but this new Bollo model the specs are of course better

sigma pcb too small. afraid cut cost.

yeah...i noticed the 7.9GB file mentioned with true hd audio...doesn't convince me too...IMHO a review by lyn sifu is 10 times more trustworthy than mpcclub...so any sifu here getting 1 and do a review for us?

If U sponsor me 1 unit I will review kao kao for U.

Anyways it also didn't mention anything about BD-J or heck even BD ISO menu at all.

I'm offered RM760 for 1 unit with USB to ethernet adapter...same price can get popcorn A110. Which 1 should i go for as a temporary media player until C200 firmware matures?

It is what it is...Portable...

I've used and tried a lot of stuff, anything 'portable' is more expensive than have slightly less capability....even though the specs say otherwise.
It might beat lesser player, but those things that aren't mention will be effected....like Color reproduction, Heat generation from the internal Sata driver etc are not mentioned.

Unless you go to business trips or have very limited space and less demanding movies to play...then its OK to get the Bollo.
