By default, if the phone is a 3G, must can support 3G unless the area that your on is not on 3G coverage..no such thing that SE phone is like that...go Maxis centre and check with them directly, if cannot solved go directly to their supervisor/manager...
OR unless ur phone got problem with the 3G/EDGE/WAP issues with the new firmware....
