Was quite surprised to notice very little heat on it while handling the unit I came across at ALL IT@Ikano despite it running some demo movie at that time

Is it better to just buy the Aspire Revo N330 now at Rm1399 and wait for the Windows 7 disc? If I wait till Windows 7 version, will I also get the Windows 7 disc? ie. makes it easier to re-install later with the Windows 7 disc.

Wait a minute... Acer website says you will get an upgrade disc and also a Windows 7 OS disc.. Acer Windows 7 upgrade FAQWhat is included in the Windows® 7 upgrade kit?You will receive an Upgrade Wizard disc with necessary drivers and applications and a Windows® 7 Operating System DVD. The disks will be in a case with a manual and the Certificate of Authenticity (COA). This means we can upgrade from Vista or do a clean installation. Furthermore with the Windows 7 OS disc, we can also re-install in the future, should we want to have a fresh system. Can anyone confirm this?

I am "seriously " consider buying this REV0 R3600 ...but with the review here .. seems this revo is lacking on Speed ... could be due to the processor .... I also FIND that the respond on mouse is "slow " ( at harvey Norman pavillion ) question : if on VISTA is slow ... then on window 7 ..even more slower looohh ...????

The Revo, like most other Atom based systems, will inadvertantly be slow due mainly to its CPU limitations. However if your "needs" are not for gaming, it should be alright. The biggest plus for Atom based systems is their low energy consumption compared to other mainstream CPUs Slowness or sensitivity of the mouse can be adjusted via the control panel All current systems packaged with Vista will defintely see some improvement if replaced with Windows 7. The latter is "lighter" and is not as resource hungry compared to Vista

(and also atom 1.6GHZ is like a P4 2GHZ processing power)

Atom based systems are not meant for serious gaming purposes.
Light gaming is fine and also for internent surfing and as a media entertainment center works fine though.
