I was keeping watch on Sabana Reit. But then I noticed the shares of Sabana's sponsor ... Freight Links Express ... is priced at only S$0.08 and I started sweat.gif

could wilmar international come below SGD 3?
iwant to average down,jz bought last month at 4.14 sgd ,sad case

Of course it could. But nobody knows whether it will or not.

Wilmar is no doubt a blue chip, but it is neither a high growth nor high dividend stock. IMHO it's only worth buying when severly undervalued.

wilmar price i think already stabilize, all negative news already factor in ..... anyhow it was a growth biz worth to have a look ...... any followers here?

How do u figure it's a growth biz? hmm.gif Its EPS growth is hardly impressive. It is already Asia's biggest agri-business firm, so its hard to grow at breakneck speed.

I prefer Noble.

expanding rapidly, sugarcane biz not impressive bcoz of non crop seasons, the oil palms price drops last quarter ..... shud be alright for next quarter. it was still seeking biz to acquire and this is what i mean growth biz .....  nod.gif

It's the weak oilseed & grain margins that's giving Wilmar problems, not the palm oil division which is still doing well wink.gif

Yes, Wilmar is still seeking to acquire business. But as I wrote, Wilmar is already so big that contribution from new businesses to its EPS growth will be small. And EPS growth is what matters.

I seldom promote stocks, but I made 2 posts recommending Noble Group. Those who followed my advice will be smiling as Noble Group's Q2 net profit up 39% on-year. Its share price rose 12.1% today nod.gif

Meanwhile, Wilmar's Q2 profit is down 70%. Will Wilmar shareholders get a trip to Holland tomorrow? hmm.gif

Thanks

What do you think of Chinaminzhong K2N?

I bought some at 56.5 cts low.............   biggrin.gif
It just broke out..........after coming down from highs of $1.15 in Feb

Congrats, China Minzhong is at S$0.71 today rclxms.gif Should be ok, considering that it's a leading company in China's vegetables industry (non-cyclical consumer) and the fact that it has Government of Singapore Investment Corp as a major shareholder.

Added on September 14, 2012, 3:53 pmWilmar jumped today above my buying price, thanks to its first ever share buyback and QE3.

Wilmar makes up 5%-6% of my portfolio brows.gif
