Indon Agri food looks delicious, $1.80 now and still heading south. Good to pick up some? Also shipping industry stocks seems been hit badly due to mainly lower freights collection since this year which will impacting this year P&L.

QUOTE(misbehave @ May 20 2011, 11:38 AM) well..i do hold a small amount of GenSP share.. lately RWS (GenSP) got law case of the S$100 fees that applies on Singaporean and PR.this may risk their licence or big fine... further more.. the business volume had gone down that compare with the opening period... so the performance is not that great at the moment... Added on May 28, 2011, 10:47 am QUOTE(Hansel @ May 14 2011, 11:43 AM) Think about SIA - $1.20 dividend to be paid in August. I am also a reader, but normally reading silently only. SIA might give yu a bigger return in Dividend..but the market for airlines not doing that good...worst that now got bad news about iceland volcano...and fuel prices is fluctuation hard too... another good news is Qantas is doing very bad at the moment. just sharing my thoughts This post has been edited by LY115: May 28 2011, 10:47 AM |

On SIA ; aware of what you said, but I carry the confidence that SIA will always try to give out the best possible dividends that she can. Latest update is SIA will be going into budget long-hauls, therefore competing with AirAsia X. |

For Airlines, go with AirAsia. It's got the biggest momentum, a dozen more new routes, increase in pent-up demand of aspiring middle-income Asian earners. Potential for growth is limitless.
Even if oil prices are going up again, those travelling usually in SIA or CX will switch to AirAsia flights if there is a chance. So seems whichever roll of the dice, AirAsia is raking in new customers - whether it shifts up or down. Tiger Airways getting lots of flak from Australian users. You can google to see their despair with Tiger in Australia. Add all Tiger routes and Jetstar routes and number of flights together, they are still short of AirAsia's tentacles and branding. It's very powerful to a point when you put the words "budget, travel" together, it immediately conjures up the word AirAsia. (Akin to what comes up in your mind when you think of instant noodle, and toothpaste!) http://asianstockresearch.blogspot.com/201...-ecm-libra.html SIA routes are stagnant or maxed out. It is still the premier airline, great cost management, premium service. http://asianstockresearch.blogspot.com/201...-by-credit.html Banking: all Singapore banks are superbly managed. UOB has been expanding overseas alot more such as in Thailand and Indonesia. |
