Hi there,
When you buying a house/cond, will you consider the location?
Example dont face T junction or in front have lamp post?
Some said the compass direction also will be an issue. blink.gif
Or others stuff etc...

lamp post takes up "precious" parking space.

in front of T-junction means the lights from cars always shine into the living room, causing disturbance, and the risk of "head on" collision.

I heard old generation mention about this, the direction of your front door will affect the breadwinner of the family while the direction of the master bedroom sleeping direction will affect the lady of the family. Both must be balance. Some house will be more in favour of man, some will favour the lady depend on the design of the house and direction. So its up to you to find your "ideal" house. Those facing T junction or power station or near to religious building or facing cemetary or facing lamp post or facing dump side or facing hills or facing high tension tower or those house with a lot of beams internally, usually they will advise not to take.

Lamp post should be okay i think. As long as your main door not facing T junction or the triangle shape roof of the opposite house then should be fine.

2 things here...
1) the lamp post wl never be directly infront of yr hse, it's always be in between two hse so that wl
not be a problem to feng shui....

2) it's good to take the hse with the lamp post & not the opposite one with the head of the lamp facing you
( it's like a cobra snake facing you, do you think it's good? ) many feng shui master say this.

Seal the back door? If got emergency like fire at the front door then how to escape? Feng shui of a house also need to match with individual's ba zi. Like joey yap said, see feng shui without the owner's ba zi is like go see doctor without bringing the patient. But the overall thumb of rules is the land at the back of the house have to be higher or equal to the land at the front of the house.

Added on November 17, 2009, 11:21 amFurther more, money can go in but can't go out is not really a good thing. Do you want to be someone that has money on hand but couldn't spend it?

cannot go out means cannot leak out ma, u can always bring it out from front door.
if want to spend should spend proudly from front ma, why spend from back, illegal money ?

emergency door? just treat it as condo lo no big deal in my opinion.
i had i saw many seriously renovated house without backdoor but they make balcony like a condo lo.
about security reason, its all about how you think smile.gif

Hello, i have a problem with my main entrance door directly facing the lamp post located oppsite the road. After i get all book research, they have recomend build a wall(4 ft W x 10 ft H) 4ft away from the main door. It automaticly blok the bad qi/poison arrow from the opposite. The wall are inside the car porch, means new entrance will side way. I dont wan relocate the main entrace because it cost me alot. By the way, i also seldom seen front house have a wall block the Main Door. Anywhere, any sifu can provide a picture/advise is it posisble i do it before i regret. Thanks
