Depends on how you define lag. If you want spontaneous response, then you may have to use some of the tunneling services recommended in the earlier pages. But if you are a casual gamer, like many of us in Velik, then it should be okay because most of us do not use any proxies too play. Gameplay is smooth most of the time.

You can buy a game card to top up your game time as well.

A ping of 300ms or so is considered pretty good. But of course if you think it's not acceptable, you can opt to use tunneling services.

Blood is not censored anymore. You can activate it through the main menu. As for Elin, yea, it stays that way, for now at least.

Most of the players here play in TERA EU. So I doubt you would be able to find someone here on the US server.

Since you have the 7 day trial, why don't you try it and see whether it is worthwhile.

Actually it depends on what you are actually looking for in an mmo. Some do it for the gaming experience, people like me, its mainly for the community as well as a way to relax after a long day at work. So end game content does not really matter to me. At the end of the game, how long can you play a game? Sooner or later, people will move on to the next popular game. As long as you build up a community, the game would eventually die. But the community lives on. That's what matters most.

I've been playing it since the BETA days. And I'm still playing it now. Most of them who started the same time as me have already touched 60. The maximum level as of now.

Now, TERA itself is a fun game to play. I've not played an MMO that looked as beautiful and pretty as TERA. And if you've not played an action MMO before, this would be a great game to try. Whether this game is worth playing in the long run, especially when you have to pay monthly to play it, I do not know how to answer you that because it's still in the early stages. There are a lot of complaints, as you can read from few of the forumers above. It does have its flaws. However, one man's poison is another man's meat. Even if you do not like it, you can stop subscribing the game in a month's time.

Since TERA EU offers a trial period, why not try it out first? Then share with us your opinions about it too.

According to European time, it's not 29 June yet. Maybe that's the cause.
