I work onboard a seismic vessel on a 5-3-2 rotation. 5 weeks on the ship, 3 weeks in the office and then I get 2 weeks 'cuti'. Start cycle all over again. Basically my job is to deploy, maintain and monitor the data acquisition equipment onboard. Best perk of the job is the amount of traveling that I have to do, and the worst thing about it is the fact that it get tedious after a while. Glad that after 3 years of doing this the company will offer me a permanent office based position.

I looked major companies in the Oil and Gas industries and applied through their websites. It takes a while for them to process the resumes but they will call you up for an interview after a few weeks.

Owh and try applying to Oilfield services companies, they usually have operations worldwide and are usually recruiting all year round.
