Hai...no choice la, IT in Msia produces the most graduates and the pay is going lower and lower (something like inflasi)... The way to survive is to do other part time job and plan to do own business...

jus wanna ask. sorry if it's a stupid question. wat does MNC stands for? a lot of ppl put MNC for company.

i'm also a fresh grad in IT. now looking for jobs. it seems from here that lots of IT graduates here who're complaining bout their job ( 1 leg kicking, doing diff job from wat is in advertise etc). reading all this makes me really doubtful about the IT field which i chose. somemore most of the IT grads end up working in totally unrelated field.

i'm thinking of applying for management trainee/programmer/network related jobs as my first job. which would be better?? (if want good future prospect, meaning can earn fat salary after like 5-7 years)
also hoping to get at least RM 1800 as my starting salary. highly possible?

btw, for those who wanna know some info in the line of accountancy, i can provide some. my bro was working wif the big 4 b4 and his gf is now currently working in 1 of those big 4. so i guess this info can be considered quite accurate.

fresh grad (junior AA): rm2100/2200
second step: rm2400
third step: 2700
nex step (after got 3 years exp and ACCA, so called qualified accountant i guess): rm3800

one more thing, those engineers/IT grads who plans to work in Intel, their starting pay as a fresh degree holder is rm2500. u get rm2800 if you've got a first class honors. i know coz i worked there for my internship for 8 months. you start as a Graduate Trainee (GT) for a year. possible to be confirmed earlier according to performance.

Why don't you join intel since they are givin such high pay? I supposed to attend one interview at intel this coming friday for position as Sys Validation Engineer...it sounds like testing. But in the mean time, i had been offered by one local company under MDC program where my starting date is next monday. I am still considering whether to choose to go for Intel or local company. wow... lucky u... when i started in this company my starting salary only RM1400; after confirm (6 month later) i got RM1700.
