QUOTE(Shinichi @ May 5 2006, 12:05 AM) Hi, imo as long as you have the qualification, its very easy to get a job. Just depends on whether you want to accept the salary they offer you. Not really, if you notice the latest in the papers; thousands of graduates are jobless. To get a big paycheck, you need the years of experience as well - or else how is the company going to trust that you can do the job?My 2 cents... You're right on one thing though; as long as you have the qualification, you can get any job. But finding the RIGHT job? That's another story. ps: someone i know graduated with masters degree, but still getting basic 2k in IT line. so definitely qualifications didn't help .... |

qualification does not prove that you will getting high salary. It is just a knowledge to adapt.
Experience and contacts is the main point for company to hire a staff that willing to pay higher then freshie. If you want high pay, work for yourself. Or join the sales team. |

Heh Working for yrself is easier said than done. First u need the capital, funds, contacts etc. Secondly, what kinda stuff uwanna sell? The fast selling products are all distributed by MNC's and the guys with moolah.
You want a big pay cheque? Yeah well, toil in yr currnet job for a couple of years, gain the experience and probably you will have the "assets" that will garner you a bigger pay cheque. |

some companies dont even look at your results. If you do not have a second class upper degree, they dont even wanna interview you. Only reason why they hire graduates over non- grads are because grads are supposedly able to "do their own research" and be independent.
However, since our education system spoon feeds us, most Mal grads are hopeless when it comes to making their own decisions at the work place. For a starting pay of RM1.5K its a lil lower compared to other companies, but then again, you gotta look at the benefits. Bonus, increment upon confirmation, medical benefits, transport allowance, overtime, annual leave etc. There are many other factors to consider, not just that monthly pay cheque. |
