Just collected my iphone in Gardens just now.
They did not inform that the phone is ready to be colllected.
I assume it is ready for quite somtimes but did not bother to sms.
But the service was good and the staff was helpful.
Other than not informing the customer,they have good service.
But they said they got stock for white color for those that wants to buy on
the spot. Black just for pre booked customer.

Do anyone aware about Astro promotion for iPhone 3Gs 16GB.

Couldn't believe what I heard from the Customer Service (Maxis), they said is ONLY FOR "PORT-IN" customer. MAXIS+ASTRO = SH1.T.

Been loyal customer but been treated like shi.t

jz back from pavillion collecting my phone .when i show the counter guy my receipt he went in to the back and came out telling me got stock,i duno wheter it refer to me only or in general,u all can go thr and try out

DE.si.MON, i have same experience like u. Going to Sunway Maxis Center, bring along my Astro bill & mailer. At the end they told me this Astro Promotion only for 'Port-In' customer. Using Maxis line for 23 yrs, get nothing.

Finally, just taken my i-phone 3gs 16g white from mid valley the garden.
I just walk in and ask the CS there, she told me only white color for 16g 3gs available, directly sign up and take it on the spot, the whole process is less than 1 hour,Yes!
Before this i booked mine at The Mines Gentel Communication at 14 Nov...end up they told me no stock, have to wait until next year Mid of Jan, i argue with them until they agreed to refund my deposit.Luckily i cancel it, or else i'll still be waiting now...
For those who still waiting,please walk in to the garden's maxis center,better try your luck than waiting for them to call you,because at the time i was waiting, there is already 2 customer that asked the CS why they never call them even the stock is available, the CS just keep quite...haha

does maxis center accepts credit card and if they do...do they charge extra 3%?

yes they do accept credit card and no they dun charge u extra 3%

I believe if u have the 'right' credit card, u can even opt for instalments payment with the bank. can't remember which credit cards are they. u might double check with other forumers.

just did my last day at maxis gardens yesterday, here's what i can tell you guys.

Currently there're NO 3gs or 3g stock for retail buying customers.

Also we have black and white sets ONLY for collection and ONLY for loyalty promotions.
To check please call 123 and check with them whether you can come to gardens branch and collect the phone you reserved beforehand.
Don't bother calling Maxis Gardens to check as we don't have time to pick up your calls due to lack of manpower.

There MAYBE stocks for customers who sign a 24 or 12 contract for the Iphone but availability of stock and phone color depends on the days stock.

For pre-booking(reservation), fill in the form and you DO NOT have to pay deposit of RM200.


TIPS for people wanting to buy

-If you are the supplimentary user, bring your main line along to sign the contract, NO i/c copy and authorization letter can be used.
-ONLY MBB, Citibank, and HSBC can be used for 0% installment. All can be used for 1 year plan, but only MBB can be used for 2 year plan as well.
-If you are a main line user and have 2 existing unfinished contract under you, then you can't get the Iphone. Each user can only have a maximum of 2 existing contracts.

The astro promo is only for port in customers,
and you can only subscribe for a 1 year contract if i am not mistaken.


For the loyalty promotion of RM990

you have to sign up for 24 month contract using value plus 150 + idata3(RM99) = monthly minimum of RM249
Iphone 3gs price 16gb = RM990
Iphone 3gs price 32gb = RM1390


For the loyalty promotion of RM490

you have to sign up for 24 month contract using value plus 250 + idata3(RM99) = monthly minimum of RM349
Iphone 3gs price 16gb = RM490
Iphone 3gs price 32gb = RM890



the loyalty promotion is the Maxis SMS they send to users who have been in Maxis service for a long time, or use alot every month and pay their bills on time. If you're lucky then you'll get the sms.

Do note, if you're porting in (hop from non-maxis telco to maxis telco) you need to wait for 2 working days then only you can come collect your new sim card, and then only can you sign up for the Iphone.

Hi all, just get my phone yesterday, is a 3gs 16g white color, i read in the first page of purchase guide that it said the package will include a microfiber cleaning cloth, but i can't find it in the box....anyone here can confirm this? is it the latest stock included it?
