QUOTE(astria @ Oct 9 2009, 08:30 AM)
anyone tried Microsoft Security Essentials??? it's the new free Anti-virus from Microsoft...

using it now... pretty light and doesn't take up much resources, much better than Live One Care...

in terms of features, it's a stripped version of Live One Care, no more backup (Win7 has it), and no more Online photo backup...

in exchange is the smaller size (installation file less than 5MB), less RAM usage (less than 5MB), and integrates with Windows Defender...

user interface is clear and simple...

overall a very nice free program to use...

available for XP, Vista and Win7... 64-bit version is avaliable only for Vista and Win7...

astria,
by means installing Microsoft Security Essentials, we can uninstall the other AV?? hmm.gif

weiyap u here???

i've just done some r&d on osx86
on youtube it seems plain and simple with insert dvd then point and click install methods
but on insanelymac forums it's the other way round

which 1 is correct???
i'm planning to dual boot win7 & osx10.6
so can i:
1) install win7
2) create partition for mac (not the ntfs one)
3) change boot sequence to boot from cd
4) insert osx10.6 dvd
5) point & click install

iirc, you need to pre-patched your leopard and also make sure you configure all the hardwares correctly so that it will work when you boot later on nod.gif..

WUT D DIFFERENT BTW R45 N S41??

N R45 SELLING FOR 1.3K,IS IT REASONABLE?
*
Both are old model laptop..RM1.3k for R45 is reasonable if you ask me, but what the use, its already obsolete in terms of hardware...and also, just a word of advice..better stay away from S41, not that the model is problematic but the GPU that it use..maybe you can drop-by in NVIDIA 8 Series GPU victims for more info nod.gif

Added on October 10, 2009, 1:06 amand also, dun use capital letters...it usually means that you are somewhat shouting at us in terms of writing in cyberspace nod.gif..
