Want to ask the sifus here....

Anyone knows where to get a SDHC -> CF converter?? Any downside to using SDHC via converter as compared to using CF directly??

Am wondering as I have some SD and SDHC cards lying arnd, and wanna utilize them instead of buying more CF cards.

really, how much is one converter anyway???

i learn that the Kingston Elite Pro 8GB, despite being cheap, have problems with my A300, slow reading/writing speed.... and a Sony branded 4GB is RM299 here, which are the same price range for the Sandisks Ultra 8GB or Extreme 3 4GB....

So wonders if the SDHC (which i oredi have) works well with the CF converter, any comments??

Oh... interesting... was surprised as Kingston is one of the reputable brands... could the new batch be "grey" or cloned ones?

How does one identify if the Kingston CF cards are new or old? Or maybe should wait for the next batch in hope that they rectify the problem??

Wanting to change to a OPTech Pro Loop... makes it easier to disconnect the strap for storage....

Wan to ask the sifus, do u put yr camera strap (alpha or neoprene or crumpler) into the dry box??? Will it affect the lifespan and quality of the strap??

Read from their website that Optics Pro V5.3.4 starts to support Alpha A200 and A300s.... does it mean that any older version than that dont work with images from A300??

I can get my paws on V5.3.2 or V4.5.1 Elite, will these work with images from A300??

Note to self.... learn to take pics, then learn PP, and work yr way up..... geez....

Then a trip to KLCC tomolo is a certainly liao..... after that can pop into crumpler to test fit my entire kit in a 6 or 7 million.....

While on the subject of Raynox 250, i got my paws on one recently, but am too noobie to know how to use it.... pls help.

I attached it to the end of the 55200, that i know how to. The problem is i cant get it to focus when at the longest focal 200mm. It just wont focus at any focal (55-200) and at physical distance, i tried slowly inching away from a subject.... cant focus at all. Tried all the modes, even macro, cant focus from any far distance.

I could only get it to focus on my keyboard at 30mm away from the lens, nice and sharp here, but wont i scare away the bugs if my lens is right up their nose?? What am i doing anything wrong? Pls teach.... many many thnx...

Else i have to get rid of my impluse buy..... any buyers wanna lift it off me??



Speaking of impulse buy, hands are itching for A550, but lucky my wallet is poison proof (meaning kosong la....), wonders if i shld get one.....

PS. Note to self... learn the A300 first.... but isnt the A550 also positioned to help noobies with the "teaching" lcd???

I believe i set it to infinity (MF then turn the ring clockwise all the way?? also how to set infinity using AF??), and i walked in and out of the subject.... all i get is blur.... hahahah

The glass is fine, i uses it to see lines on my palm, so its me thats getting the technique wrong.... will try yr method again tomorrow... now damn sleepy...

Tnnx Albert... thats very detailed in explanation, will try to focus to infinity and try using the raynox again.

How do you set infinity in AF? Press the shutter button for 1 sec then release?

I suppose that i can also use the 1870 with the raynox.....

But hor... since the max of the zoom is 500mm, shldnt it be 500/8 = 62.5mm = 6.25cm? Just wanted to be clear....

I am noobie and have not met the sifus here, so i'd suppose that the TT tables will be a long joint stretch with many Alpha + gears on the tables?? Anyone putting a banner or flag or display Alpharian group card/tag??

Coz i donno the faces and donwan to sit in wrong table (in case Nonac and Nokin ppl are there too)....

Its in a mamak restaurant, up to u if u wanna makan, minum, tarpow or simply sit there to listen to the knowledge of the exalted sifus.....

yup, after terjun summore doing flip back hair in water...... i totally missed that.... shite...

was in the main room, taking the realllllly cute chinese model.... she was so pretty, and very accommodating in poses, and all the guys was there snapping away....

I think u will need a 5million, as the 4 million can only fit one body and one lens/flash.

Try out the size kat KLCC Crumpler lo...

You could try a Raynox 250, which is a +8 glass. Its very good with max length of the 55200 kit lens.

I am planning to let my RAYNOX 250 go, anyone wants to take it off me can PM me. Open to Alpha bros/sis before i post to the sales thread.
