Got my SAL18250 from a forumer in Alphanatics at RM800. Should be a good price right?

Haven't really try it yet.

lighter usually mean plastic. and heavier means more metal parts and bigger lens piece. smile.gif so which is better, u decide.

sony1118 is very very tempting, but i just brought 2 lens so need wait for another 6 month or so...

Buying lens is like an addiction.... I just bought my A300 about 3 weeks ago and i have bought 3 lens now. tongue.gif But they all cheapo one. Got 2 Helios and SAL18250. Very temp to get a beercan too, but i think the SAL18250 already cover the range of the Beercan?

find a friend with beercan and borrow for a day. but i warn u, be prepare~ hahahaha very poisones... beercan is a FF lens wink.gif and its a F4! ur 18250 dont cover with F4, it's a F6.3 at 200mm~ tongue.gif

ieR: The tree in front is not comparable with the STF. It won't look 'ringy' like at the point where the tree has a cut.

Ranceed: Nice shot nevertheless! I can see some geometry between the tree and reptile. I would compose it so the tree cuts nicely into the corner if I had time.

thats something i interested to know too..if anyone happen to have some side by side comparison..hehe

obviously there is quite a big gap in the price...but i wonder does the performance diff by alot too??
