achew, enlighten me more on the black card trick..

Lets use the example that ranceed did.

If u use the black card as a 2nd shutter, basically u agak agak where the lights gonna be? then cover up say... half the lens?
edit: wa.. nice edit!

QUOTE(Kul | Mo0 @ Oct 12 2009, 04:05 PM)
Hey guys I'm taking up an event job that requires on-the-spot printing. Any body has portable photo printer? Boleh rent? And how much should I charge? Hmmm.
*
Moo, i would think that on the spot printer, which i did for events last time, cannot be so portable afterall.. There are some of those printers where u can print by sticking ur memory card in and print from there but i doubt you can find one to rent for cheap..

What are the requirements for printing? Print 4x4 pics? or a4 size pics?

What i can recommend is, get a laptop and a good printer that can print good quality. Hog one table with power ports, for printer and laptop. And print using the photo gloss paper.. If im not mistaken, if your pics has a good resolution, the printing of the pictures should be ok. U cannot expect those pictures where u print from the photoshops la.. those are high tech printers ma.. I saw a few pictures printed on the gloss photo paper the IQ not bad..

But if the client wants the pics at the end of the day, its better if u set up those things and shoot halfway, then after get a friend to post process and print the 1st batch while you shoot the 2nd batch.. Printing takes time =)

And, the gloss paper if im not mistaken is not that cheap..

If u wanna budget budget, do get those printers that has a large capacity of ink. If u have to print alot, then halfway no ink, u cry.. something like this.

This type of printer the quality not bad.. better if u got friends to borrow this equiptment from.. I would lend a helping hand but i xada this type of printer =P my printer cartraige expensive, i think if u used my printer youll lose $$ then earn $$$ lol

edit: by the way, these types of ink, if printed on the photo paper, the ink stays there without smudging, (someone pls clarify this) i think la, coz i have a friend that works in a printer shop and had samples of the pictures printed on photo paper and my hand itchy, i poured water on it and the color didnt run.. i dont recall my friend spraying stuff on it..

Worse come to worse, go for polaroid la =P

Adui, mike, u should come for tt yest, got blower, the sifus will be glad to clean ur sensor..

u open the lens up u unscrew the lens off, and see the sensor properly.. if got any dust or anything.. u should be able to spot it.. it could be stray hair =P

If its dust should be easy to clean, check out the 1st post of this thread. Can buy blower for around RM30.. Chheap alternative la.. if it doesnt work, must send for cleaning adi..

if u got $$$ to spare, send to the centres to service.. if u got no $$$ like me, dont shoot in high f mode.. my sensor is not cleaned yet so i tend to stay at f11 MAX.. any higher, the dust is visible..
