I actually don't remember the procedure and the steps taken during the process of renewing the leasehold land title (belongs to my deceased father) and then I did transfer the title to my name. All the process done as per the Land Office Instruction. I was just running all around to complete the entire process in abt 3 years. So finally I could see my name on the QT (Hak Milik Sementara).
After ayear or so, I received a letter from PJ land office said that the State Government agrees to extend the lease.bla...bla..
I went to the land office to enquire about this, as I been issued the QT and what the hack it is back to the past.
After a long discussion with the officers, they agree verbally that it is their mistake. Then, after a few months later I received another letter to pay an additional premium for the change of the land status from residential to commercial. And they have affected a registered caveat on the land.
I haven't pay the addition amount yet.
Now, I don't know whether I have to go through again the whole process until title transfer if I do pay the add. premium or after paying the premium (quite hefty sum) the land office will withdraw the caveat and the QT that have is the final.
I couldn't get a good answers from the officers there as well. All in verbal only...
What I should do? Is there anyone experienced somehow a similar situation?
mistake by land office, need clarification
