if i'm not mistaken, the recall doesn't affect any toyota right hand drive car.

hi guys,

just wanna share my experience and hear your comments.

booked vios G in early january, bronze mica. SA said confirmed will get before CNY. 2 weeks ago, he told us that car arriving 8-9th feb.

yesterday, around 3-4pm, he called and said, due to the facelift, umw stopped production for the current vios. there is no stock for bronze. there is one medium silver.

he give 2 options:-

1) take the medium silver immediately
2) wait until march to get a bronze mica

i find it unacceptable to be told about this so last minute, when we are expecting the new car to be used during CNY. the order was done more than a month ago.

what do you think?

all, thanks for the opinion. don't want to take medium silver cos...looks normal. not many bronze mica on the road ma. another thing is, if they ask us to choose colour preference, then fulfill it! else why bother? i'm not gonna bend over just because you want to clear your stock.

michael, i didn't know that there is a confirmation slip with engine and chassis number. first time buy car, no experience.

oh well, it's already thursday anyway. not going to get the car for cny since registration and insurance also takes time. on the bright side, start the tiger year with a dugong. but then the plate is WTK. now already WTN. no new car feel already. see got kena 4d/toto/dmc or not. haha...

that is to bypass your remote lock.

when your remote lock's battery is dead, you can unlock your car with your key, but the alarm will sound. then you have to put the remote at the exclamation triagle while turning the ignition to ON with your key. this will silent the alarm. so make sure your remote is separated from the key chain while doing this as it needs to be touching while your turn the key)

hi, i just want to give my 2 cents on lun073's experience. i had a bad experience with a SA too, scroll back a few pages for info.

my point is, it's not a matter of whether or not the insurance is good or bad. the deal must be done in good faith. we are the consumer and we have the right to choose what we want or don't want. the salesperson must duly inform us, not assuming that we want it.

some may say, RM150 is nto a big amount. i say, even if it is RM1, it matters. i'm not trying to flame anyone, but it is because of this "tidak apa" attitude that consumer rights in malaysia is almost non existent. just compare the trouble that toyota has in the US.

i believe we have read in this forum of some bad experience some people had with UMW on their toyotas. what was the outcome? not such a big noise, wasn't it? because, they sell so many toyotas every year, and only one or 2 dared to make a big fuss if their cars encounter problems. others will just say, never mind, i'll get it fixed for RM100 at a service centre. just small amount of money ma. imagine rm100 times the number of toyotas on the road in malaysia.

my friend told me, toyota and honda salesman have become more arrogant nowadays, as their cars will still sell well. i don't believe it at first until i personally experience and heard a few friends of their experience too.

it doesn't only apply to buying cars, it applies to everything in general. malaysian are just not good or not willing to stand up for their rights.

sorry for the long post, but i get really upset when people just would not stand up for their right even though they are not in the wrong. you want to cari makan, at least earn it the honest way.

again, i'm not trying to flame anybody, sorry if anyone of you felt offended.
