Hi,

I drive 4 months old e-spec, and did a lot of sound proofing as well(whole car ) Engine and tyre sound still loud and not easy to remove.

Up grade to 15 " rims and michelin tyre will definitely help, i run out of budget and will change tyre after use for 50k km.

Yes, engine noise most irritating(Rev more than 3,000rpm), tyre noise still can reduce when i change my NCT tyre.

Just want to check how to reduce engine noise?

Any idea?

I used E spec, for foam , i already done it, but foam is not to reduce engine noise.

what kind of bonnet sound proof that really effective? Anyone can share?

I went to KL Auto to do my Autofoam, I take ultimate package which cost about 2800++, include all sound proof about 5k. Handling did improve a lot , car more stiff , less flex and less body roll when cornering. But Engine noise and tyre noise still obvious.

I feel like engine noise is hard and impossible to solve. It may be norm for all vios.

Foam mainly is to improve handling and driving pleasure , padding may sound proof engine sound, i still looking for suitable padding or sound proof material for my hood.

The engine noise for vios is common noisy, and is quite loud when you rev. above 3k rpm,
