No worries, pal.  It all turned out good in the end, and I learned something new. smile.gif
I opted for the locally-manufactured ones (RM 119.50) instead of the "imported from japan" ones at RM 400+. Seems like it has gone up in price. sad.gif
The v-belt itself was RM 46.00, but I'm just happy now that there is no longer that rattling noise whenever the car starts up cold. laugh.gif

Ouch, RM 1.2k?  Thanks for letting me know, at least I'll be mentally prepared when going for the 80k service, haha.

bro... they should not sell local mades already... that was the last statement from a SA in Sg. Rasau Klang UMW toyota service center... when is ur service btw??? i asked about 2 weeks ago... which branch do you wen? UMW or Franchise... all parts that is sold and fixed into ur car is qualify by UMW Toyota Malaysia, outside parts they will not help u to install it... i tried to ask them to install my iridium spark plug into my Vios rejected...
the local made quality is not that good... a lot of powder and the brake pad wear will not last that long also... imagine front brake pad and last 60k... now my wheel always kena wash or wipe quite some numbers or powder...

FYI normal 80k service is around RM850 but flushing ATF another RM200+... so i change m V belt that time also that's y a lil more expensive... great to hear that u have changed urs now... rear brake pad not that expensive... around RM250 i think...

I went on Wednesday morning, to the service center along Jalan Cheras. I guess I just got shoved with leftover brake pads, lol.
Was actually thinking of getting them changed outside initially, but ultimately decided against it after looking at my schedule for the immediate future.
Darn. sad.gif

most of the SC do have wifi, food, drinks, PC ...
for 10k less then RM200 that also depend on what engine oil you use.
