I want to ask something:
http://www.cnbc.com/id/17689937/

This website shows DJ futures latest status. It even updates every 15 minutes during daytime in malaysia (nightime in US). I wonder if US people don't have sleep? How come there are people that trading futures during their nightime and hence make the futures status move?
*
my guess is ....
ppl from the rest of the world is busy gorenging US Future...
eg.. Euro, Asia, Middle East..
when we go to bed, American will continue to goreng..
and when American go to bed, Japan, OZ, NZ will wake up and continue to goreng..
cycle continues throughout the week untill Saturday sad.gif when there is no market...
laugh.gif
---

8.28pm - Labor Dept is about to announce Employment Situation, hmm looking at DJ Future can know the answer already i guess...
8.35pm - me watching bloomberg now.. DJ Future @ -89 points already.. T________T
apparently even the government is cutting jobs... hmm.gif

Think the market took the hit yesterday.... hmm.gif
The non-farm employment data was leaked like a dripping tap so investors weren't really surprised this morning IMHO.

Also - unemployment is a long-term threat to the recovery (no question about it) but these data will mean that corporate earnings should improve dramatically in the next reporting season and through the end of 2009 because of productivity gains.

Q: What do the markets like?
A: Earnings

laugh.gif
*
yah.. earnings is the king... but also need to take note that things will eventually come back to those corporations when there is less and less consumers able to buy their products/services.. hmm.gif

also, from what i heard on bloomberg, they are blaming SME for not hiring enough ppl.... laugh.gif

-------

on the other hand, i wonder what headline they'll put later...
now is "Stocks fall as job losses rise more than expected" To "Stocks recovered despite mounting job losses" ? laugh.gif

------

my dad told me CIMB has the biggest market cap in KLSE now, followed by SIME, Public , Maybank and Axiata if i remember correctly...

if your's a direct cds account then toto will mail agm papers/dividend directly to u.. and the proxy form is there too..
but if your account is a nominee account then im not sure what to do... maybe like other forumer said, u gotta go to maybank and get the form, etc..

90% DOW will close green tonight imo.... now already +108points
KLCI green/red doesnt accurately represent the overall market anymore and got little impact on non-benchmark counters...
no need to bother too much imo, unless u play FKLI biggrin.gif

oh and also no need to wait for october myth, just buy on dip and buy in stages.. imo thats the best way...
and u need to know how to price the stocks (aka valuate)...
like take into consideration PER, gearing and other fundamentals...
buy and wait to collect the fruits laugh.gif

hmm what's a dip ? personally, a dip to me is a drop >=3% of a counter..

err i havent made any real profit from stocks, so take my words with a kg of salt.....
