QUOTE(chyaw @ Oct 19 2009, 02:18 PM) that's how normally traders play, but if you invest in good company, you'll get good returns in long term. Of couse, you won't get high return in short term, but you'll get more constant return in long run. chyaw, i agree with you... but do you mind sharing some definition of "good company"...

Good company is defined differently by different ppl depends on their risk factor. I balance my portfolio where I got REITs for dividend play, and I also got counters that for growth. One thing that I make sure is all my counters are money making companies that undervalue (low PE ratio) except a few because of specific reason. I also play warrant, but normally buy those that from strong companies like Genting, Genting M'sia, PBB, etc. QUOTE(Neon_ @ Oct 19 2009, 02:38 PM) chyaw, i agree with you... but do you mind sharing some definition of "good company"... QUOTE(mopster @ Oct 19 2009, 02:35 PM) KLCI @ 1260.. are we looking at 1300 before christmas ? this stareit keep going up... making its yield so unattractive compared to other reits .. at 0.91cents the yield is 7.1% only I calculate yield based on my buy price. So, up or down doesn't really matter. But up will be the best for me

I think TeoSeng is worth investing in for long term as long as it can sustain its EPS. Current PE ratio is quite low. Anyway, only today I know got this counter. Better be careful due to lots of speculative play recently. This is b'cos u r buying near the peak of the market. Must cut loss if necessary.

QUOTE(chyaw @ Oct 19 2009, 02:05 PM) Agreed on this! That's why I didn't even look at E&O. Anyway, when ppl goreng stocks, they don't care anything. Just fry! Its the greatest 'money printing machine' ideas turning klse into a giant casino, where the object of the game is shaving little slices off the great flows of money as we push them back and forth using a great big toolbox of manipulative techniques.
