Nokia will not use Android...that is for sure at least not now or the near future smile.gif
They will not just abandon something they paid £209m for, Symbian
and Meego is still newly-born though based on Meego...
now Nokia has a clear path, focus on 1. Symbian 2. Meego
that's for sure smile.gif

imagine Intel come out with i3 for mobile phone haha straight ownage haha

Use Qualcomm MSM8260 or MSM8660 also good enough.
or if Nokia wants to stick back to ARM which obviouisly is a yes : Use ARM Cortex-A15 MPCore (actually it's too powerful)
Plus with Broadcom BCM2763

Qualcomm MSM8x60
ARM Cortex-A15 MPCore
Broadcom BCM2763

There is a catch in Intel's plan on entering the mobile plan market.
One of the their R&D Engineer claimed that their mobile processor will have around 7 days of standby time as opposed of ARM's 3 days(usually)
I don't know about you guys but if Intel did managed to make a processor with this kind of low power consumption I'll go for it even if the OS is little crappy.

Another advantage of Intel mobile processor is the ability to run x86 application. It should be possible to run desktop class application directly in the mobile phone depending on the OS.
MeeGo 1.2(Handset version) should be supporting x86 execution.

This is why MeeGo have two testing device;N900 & Aava Mobile
N900 is the testing device for ARM based device & it should be released 1st.
Aava mobile is the testing device for the Intel Moorestown based device. No idea on Intel processor powered MeeGo device. The guys at MeeGo IRC channel are very tight lipped on this.

Frankly speaking Snapdragon is overated.Just wait till TI's Cortex A9 used widely.

ARM Cortex-A15 is even awesome thumbup.gif

But power users wants full blown desktop class OS like Maemo. We do need faster processor in future.
Unconfirmed report stated that N9 will have Cortex A9 processor hmm.gif

Can't wait for N9 to be released with A9 :claps:
We need fast proc to push the phone to the limits biggrin.gif

alright. There's no way any of the current Symbian^1 Devices by Nokia get Symbian^3 due to hardware limitation. The hardware in Nokia Symbian^1 devices are too weak in hardware. And haven't you realise even the newer phone with resistive screen comes with Symbian^1. So maybe, all resistive will stick back to Symbian^1.
There's one more point too. Nokia stated there's no more N Series devices with Symbian OS already.
With all that factors, I would call a 0% for N97 Mini to get Symbian^3. notworthy.gif

if they were to do an upgrade even at a cost, I don't think they will be giving it to N97 Mini. Seems like N97 has a better say on this. Because N97 is larger in terms of physical size. It's easier to fit new stuff in but seriously that won't happen. That's not normal at all in business sense. doh.gif

rclxms.gif sure so jealous and shoot Nokia again.
N97 low chance... X6 higher chance tongue.gif

X6 has no chance. No phone will have chance of a hardware upgrade. It just isn't a normal practice. You would rather come out with a new model than to upgrade existing. Why? Because it will generate a lot more interest in enthusiast than just upgrading the old product. People love new products not old upgraded products.

N97 Mini really has no chance for multitouch at all (resistive touch)
Faster proc? OC maybe? But I read around, 768mhz is the max we can get on ARM11
Graphics? USB graphics adaptor perhaps... plug in and the display comes out at another screen with the graphics adaptor?  brows.gif

Someone in the forum said he read somewhere that multtiouch on resistive screen is possible but in a sense now only capacitive are capable of multitouch. Google for Stantum screen. It's multitouch possible resistive screen smile.gif

don't dream on having 500gb & blah blah blah.
The best you can get for a phone was as what we played about and came out with this N9.5.
Your specs cannot be mobile phone. It's a tablet.

how much is the price?

got what size?

any other color besides black?
*
hey, urm. I do believe black is better because it's more neutral for everyone but if you want other colours, you can suggest and sizes are of choice. But, we are still in early stage now. Need to confiem design so size comes after this.
The price should be around RM20 if we get about 50-55 people to bulk together smile.gif

btw, please visit the thread and post replies there so easier for me to keep track. Thx. I shall add you to the interested list as well biggrin.gif

fw flaws doesnt mean old fw, every fw has its own flaws, unless it is the final version...

N82, N95 and 5800xm users should know this very well....
*
Even final version FW might still have flaw.
Sopme versions in the middle point might even be better (I forgot which phone though).

Example, E65 the final FW is a little buggy here and there.

Can you plug your phone into your comp via Mass Storage, then go to Computer, Right click your Mass Storage, Properties, Tools, Defragment Now, Check your fragmentation percentage. If high, please defragment. My experience on X6 was it fragments to a very high percentage. But N900, very low. 0%. Do a defragmentation to your mass storage, usually speed up your phone smile.gif

I checked, it said "You do not need to defragment this volume"
it's my X6  hmm.gif
*
Yours 8GB only and if you don't change files frequently won't fragment lor.
But mine was 32GB and I always change the files inside because I put lots of movies. Fragment level is around 40%. ohmy.gif
But N900 always move items also didn't fragment. I don't know why? biggrin.gif
