have u guys install latest firmware?

v30.0.004

i just updated about 10 mins ago......

i dont know about it, my phone suddenly pop out something while i had my lunch:

"New Firmware Is Available, V30"

somemore got Here & Now, Ovi Maps updates etc etc..... but those i didnt update lah......

so when i reach home, i used Ovi Suite to update, not OTA........

still havent notice any major difference, just the menu for phone dialing has changed

oh ya, speaking abt the browser, it has changed indeed, now below the screen got 1 icon for "Previous Page", another 1 for "Option", and the main page is Ovi website........

on top of the screen is the newly added address bar......

sound and camera i really not sure lah, havent really try it out......

but since they jumped from v12 suddenly to v30, i bet there must be many things or issues they already solved.......

1. i nvr got any reception problem with this phone

2. the "sliding" mechanism have the sentence: Designed In Finland

really didnt feel anything different using the camera or music player.......

hardly use those things, almost didnt notice

that certainly sounds like the 1st batch of ipoo4, reception and signal problem it encountered

the problem occured after u updated to v30? or already existed b4 u update?

perhaps u wanna ask forumer kyu85, hengguowei and quantum_thinking regarding this matter, they're nokia/symbian pro

then it shouldnt be anything related to the fw.....

this is getting really weird and spooky already......

but if really coverage problem, then dont worry..... my room digi no line, maxis half bar, celcom forever full.....

now is the 7th month in lunar calendar, many "weird" things can happen

be careful, local ncc very pandai goreng customers.....

eg. small/cheap part damaged, they ask u to replace a more expensive part....

but i'm not saying all ncc are the same lah, just be.....more.... hati hati....

yup, i remember, then later i've heard from my ex-classmates as well, quite similar case with urs

but the good thing is that, most ncc staff will contact the owner of the phone if the repair cost or parts replacement cost exceed a certain pre-discussed amount...... just like last time my N71, a damn ribbon cost a bombastic RM180

Added on September 30, 2011, 8:30 ambut frankly, u wont be losing anything or gaining anything (at least NOT by much) even if u dont update to v30......

there's still some minor flaws all around........

if u cannot update via Ovi Suite or OTA, that means the latest fw is NOT designated for ur unit with that particular product code.......

there's ntg which u can do, except for flashing / reformat ur unit to the product code which can update to the latest fw..... (do this by ur own risk, nokia wont cover any warranty claim for this matter)

to check product code, just remove the battery and u will see it printed on the back on ur phone......

i not sure is for what country, i just shared it out based on my previous experience with 5320xm, which had nonetheless given me a bunch of headaches with fw because it was Arabian unit, not M'sian....

i'm more looking forward to new fw instead of v30, hopefully nokia wont stop at v30 for n97 mini, its not done yet........

still many things can be improved.....

i used to doubt they will ever made v30
