Anybody know about Interactive Players? Like Philips CD-i, Amiga CDTV, Pioneer Laser Active, RDI Halcyon, RCA/Samsung Nuon. I know Interactive players are more of a European or American phenomenan, but where to get one in Asia especially Malaysia?

I checked them out on E-Bay and they were too expensive second hand and many sellers don't ship to Malaysia.

I was just wondering I could build one using a Dell Desktop CPU. I plan to install DOS but there are no Interactive Player emulators that run on DOS. Philips Cd-i emulators run on Windows and they are not free and Nuon emulators have only partial emulation on certain games, interactive books, software but only runs on Windows or Linux.

Is there a Linux frontend that has a customizable user interface so that I can make menus for my DIY interactive player? So if there is I plan to run mine on Linux.

Also is there a good media player on linux that can run RMVB, MP4, Xvid, DivX etc. for Linus with visualization like spectrum analyser and track progression when you play back Audio CDs or audio files?

Please help?
