The purpose I wanna do OC on my laptop is so that I can play games with less lag. However, since vista is more heavy in usage compared to XP, if i use xp as primary windows, install games on it, can I play with less lag? Does OC help?
Running on intel core 2 duo p7350 2.00ghz, 4gm ram. Mobo is NEC.

Some current laptops do not have XP drivers for certain components. Please check at your manufacturer's website for drivers before proceeding to install XP.
And from your model specifications, best I can say your laptop will run is Warcraft 3.*
*Certain games etc

I won't oc my laptop if i were u. The main reason why laptops are slower than desktop is due to the crappy 5400rpm HDD.

are there even options for ocing the laptop in the bios in the first place?actually your cpu's speed is good enough, just that your graphics processor is too slow and it almost impossible to change
