Hi all,

I would like to install copper piping to connect the boiler into my bathroom. Do you know roughly how much it will cost? Any recommendation on plumber?

Hint: You should try to ask a plumber from yellowpages directly. Find the one near your area, any problem at least faster for him to come and fix it.

pre-caution should be taken to avoid damaging ur wall for the second time.

copper installation required skillful plumber, dis is because copper hard to solder and leakage may happen if not done probably. the cost wont be cheap due to copper price itself.

Cost depending on the length of the pipe (fr heater to outlet).

Actually i felt, using electric water heater is more economical.

Not to mention having copper and galvanize steel in the piping.
The combination of both would create electrolysis and in the end, pin hole leaks.

Wow wow.. so many disadvantages of using centralize heating?

Hmm.... anyone using it now? Any problem with it?

There're still ppl who prefer centralise heating. The luxury of having hot water whenever the tap's open. And some may find electric water heater not nice looking.

But the key is, the whole house must be copper-piped. If the heater tank u installed is the electric type, ur monthly electric bill is going to be hefty.

So next option is obviously solar panel. BUT, the average life of solar panel is 10-12 yrs.

It's all $$$ only.

me use it now... u need to wait bout 20mins for the water to heat... then after the water runs out, new water feed in and u have to wait cold water to reheat again...

why don you consider YORK winterspa??

try ask the plumber use compressing fitting instead of soldering

Is the electric bill going to be very expensive? My friend using it and told me not really.. hmm...

What is this YORK winterspa? Better than the normal joven boiler? Whats the benefit of compressing fitting compared to soldering?

there are 2 kinds of connection for copper piping

try to get kembla brand.. its from australia... else mostly is china

compression and welding
welding graetly depends upon skill of the installer
while compression require non knowledge and it fits well and tightly


york winterspa uses hot gas from air cond to generate heat... so u do not need extra electric to heat up the water
