Not planning to buy yet, but I'm looking for something more or less balanced, with very good details but should be more musical (?) rather than analytical and some bass but not to the level of bassheads. Also prefer something not too bright since my ears get tired very quickly.

Not sure if I'm describing what I want correctly really. But I'm just looking to narrow down my choices when I do get the cash and time to go to Jaben and test them out. Btw, I'm looking for IEMs within the RM300-400 range. If worth the penny, I'm willing to go slightly above budget, but not by a lot.

Mostly listen to Jrock/Jpop, a bit of trance and techno, so basically I want to be able to hear all the different instruments.

Hmm well, if it's any consolation, the Sony XB500 is actually about the same price as the Hippo VB, despite being full sized cans.

Haha, but it has really big bass... And it is really comfortable. I used it as a pillow to sleep  tongue.gif  (Just kidding...)

No you can't lol, I know cuz I've tried (you'll end up squishing the cushions). laugh.gif IEMs are better suited if you actually go to sleep with music on, or a proper set of speakers. But yeah the XB500 has really big bass, but luckily doesn't drown out TOO much. Then again, those who prefer clarity/details are better off getting something else. =\ Of course, one of the best things about Sony's XB series is that the leather (?) cushions are damn comfy. smile.gif
