It shouldn't be THAT sharp - highs aren't that prominent on the PL50 IMHO, if by SHARP you mean sibilant/high-centric... For the love of me SHARP isn't really a word I'd use to describe the PL50 sound at all... Maybe mellow and warm, but definitely not SHARP.
The Hippo Shrooms are in the SHARP catagory for me - without the E5, as the E5 mellows down the Shroom sound with its bass mode.
