QUOTE(g3n0c|d3 @ May 4 2010, 01:14 PM) 1. Eterna is a fun sounding IEM, its not accurate type of IEMs. great for rock and heavy metal, tranz, hip hop and bassy songs without sacrificing the detail (thou bassy phones tend to loose a bit of detail, eterna is no exception). this phone also picky on the source and it will reveal bad recordings with bad output sound. i recommend VB coz it's not bass shy and lots of people seem to prefer tiz over Quattro... =)2.silver bullet is a bright phones (and so ive heard)... some may like the brightness and some dont... 3. moniqee always recommend this to people... u have to ask her.... i never heard it before but the reviews are quite impressive.... personally i kinda liked Music Valley SP1 |

QUOTE(ArianneG @ May 5 2010, 12:17 AM) Hi all sifus, I and a friend want to buy a pair of headphones/IEMs for a friend's birthday gift. Budget around RM150, ABSOLUTE MAX RM200. Headphones within ur budgetShe listens mostly to church songs, pop (Cantopop), instrumental, vocals like Il Divo. No rock or rap. Maybe a little classical. So probably looking for an all-rounder kind of IEM/headphones if any exist at this budget. Mobility and sound quality are an issue-- she often travels by public transport e.g. KTM with noise... need something that can perform even without amp (very important!). Please help and thank you! 1. Audio Technica ON3 ( portable, stylish ) 2. Audio Technica T22 ( not so portable ) 3. Audio Technica FW5 Buttons ( it's darn cute~ ) ( got pouch and stylish and portable ) 4. Audio Technica FW3 Porclain ( also quite cute and have many colors ) 5. Audio Technica SQ5 6. Audio Technica FC700 7. Audio Technica SJ3 8. Hippo Safari ( i liked the SQ but dont like the design ) 9. koss Portapro 10. Beyerdynamics DT231 11. sennheiser HD201 12. Koss KSC75 ( Recabled it to WHITE ) IEMs 1. Soundmagic PL11/21 2. Music Valley SP1 3. Hippo Shroom 4. hippo Pearl 5. Audio TEchnica C100G Added on May 5, 2010, 11:15 am QUOTE(Dominant Star @ May 5 2010, 07:54 AM) I'm looking for a headphone which excels in listening to all around music... headphone ar? comfy sum more and no need amp?Budget would be RM500. Used to own HD650 coupled with Little Dot MK V but sold it not too long ago. What I'm looking is comfortability + no need to use amp. Song I listen to should be like the sort of songs HD650 are good for. But I also listen to techno and disco songs at times. So a good all rounder would be great. Thanks yeah 1. Audio Technica AD500 2. Audio TEchnica AD700 Audio Technica are famous for comfy especially AD-series and also no need to use amp... =) since u need good bass as well... i would suggest AD500 since AD-series which are popular with bass are AD300 & AD500 This post has been edited by moniqee: May 5 2010, 11:15 AM |

QUOTE(ooiwbng @ May 5 2010, 06:50 PM) hi guys, my budget is RM120 for a IEM. another basshead?-gonna pair it with my ipod touch, w595 and s745 - for music - 192~320kbps mp3 - songs i listen to varies frm songs frm the 80~90s then bassy songs, instrumental, church songs and rock - it shld be at least as bassy as the soundmagic PL21, would favor for a balance between bass and clarity but something like the balance on PL21 would be nice, and a easily fitted eartip. 1. Hippo Safari RM80 ( it's a portable headphone but bassy with clarity ) 2. Hippo Epic RM80 ( iem ) 3. Hippo Epic SParkle RM90 ( iem ) 4. Hippo Pearl RM100 ( iem ) 5. Hippo Shroom RM110 ( iem ) 6. Koss SParkplug ( iem ) 7. Music Valley SP1 around RM110-120 ( iem ) |

well... if i were u... i would auditioned all the headphone before deciding... but if u are a person who prefer clarity with bass ( but not the overwhelming one ) then audio technica is the one for u...
fc700 is an ideal headphone for those who need bass alot but not extremely overdone... it's kinda like medium rare steak... for overcooked... i would suggest DT231 / Hippo Boom for rare... i would suggest AD300, ON3 |

QUOTE(alexng2208 @ May 19 2010, 05:30 PM) I saw the Denon and i liked the design but i want something more outlandish in terms of color but mild in terms of design (i know i m a confused SOB) so u into design?I am at the UK, anyone with experience for cheap but fun brands? my minimum design would look something like the zaggaudio buds, the Beats by Dre buds are awesome but too expensive. the Koss is ok but the design not to my taste. I not a audiophile, just a normal listener that is affected by design more than anything. however, if there is a clear tone, and strong bass (not overbearingly so), then i would want it... i m currently using the Sony RM99(price, not model as i dunno the model number) in ears. i also have Soundmagic PL20 i think (the one with the black n silver buds) and it pales in comparison to the Sony Shure Audio Technica Monster Beats |
