QUOTE(g3n0c|d3 @ Oct 26 2009, 12:20 PM) ive own bijou 3 before and for me it got plenty of bass sometime it clouded the instrument a bit.... so in term of clarity, pl50 better or bijou 4 better?but supposedly the bijou 3 is more to balance and bijou 4 is clarity.... (in my case i did some recable and it turns out to be brighter.... and i love it...) |

Hello everybody...
Im looking for a headphone(not earplug type),currently using sony earphone which is earplug type,it provide a very good sound quality but no cofortable after long period wearing it. -im using it with my laptop. -im a music lover,i listen to every kind of music(rap,r&b,rock, heavy metal, sentimental) -i do alot of gaming too.its better if the headphone can perform well in gaming too.^^ -looking for a bass/treble balance headphone. -only use it for indoor,so a bulky headphone is acceptable! -im malaccan.so, im looking for headphone which is more easy to find here like sony,phlips,logitech,JVC,pioneer... -my budget is...under RM200! PLS....recommend me some good headphone with tat budget! tis is the first time i buy a headphone,i mean REAL headphone, not the pasar malam 1.haha...^^ |

I need some recommendations.
My usage is for laptop. Listening to music (from classical to pop to rock to techno) and movies. Quality of sound for me not really important since I might not be able to appreciate good quality as compared to good enough quality. However, I would like these points: GOOD ISOLATION(I don't want to hear anything besides what I'm listening to) PORTABLE(small enough to bring in front compartment of laptop backpack) RETRACTABLE(lessen chance of getting tangled and spoiled in the bag) LESS than RM150(self-funded student) I'm guessing an IEM would be the choice? So which one is the best for my criteria which priorities are as the sequence with isolation being the most important? 1 more thing, where and when best time to get it? PC fair just around the corner. Aiming to have enough money by then. Just bought K40IN laptop so no more money. :-P |

Earphone as in earbud or those in ear type? IEM you can try PL50 or SP1, earbud hmmm, those X-brand that's selling in Garage sale may be, it's said to be gd, as gd as YUIN products.

what difference would in earbud or iem produce in terms of sound quality, or is it just a comfort issue?
uh, which brands specifically do u mean when u say PL50 or SP1? what do u think about the shure se102 btw? is it among the best for its price range? are there other more affordable models with similar performance? i wouldn't mind paying a bit extra if it is as good as they claim it is, but it'd be good to keep within budget loh. |

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Nov 2 2009, 09:12 PM) what difference would in earbud or iem produce in terms of sound quality, or is it just a comfort issue? earbuds are the one that's given by apple iPod. IEM is the one that you normally stuff the whole thing into ur ear, like the one that given by Sony walkman with rubbery type of eartips.uh, which brands specifically do u mean when u say PL50 or SP1? what do u think about the shure se102 btw? is it among the best for its price range? are there other more affordable models with similar performance? i wouldn't mind paying a bit extra if it is as good as they claim it is, but it'd be good to keep within budget loh. PL50-Sound Magic SP1-MusicValley Shure SE102 wasn't really that bad but it's slightly overpriced ~RM250 but may be you can find one below RM200 if you know where to find xD The Se102 is more to bright and clear sound signature, pretty gd in mid bass but lack of low bass, so if you're basshead, then it's just not for u |

Hi, first time posting here.
Was seeing the thread discussing on fischer eterna IEM and very interested but with some newbie question... Is those earphone(fischer eterna etc) have very big different with normal one(earphone come with ipod), or just slight better? Never got chance to have a try... Is those earphone can play musics in very good quality with ipod touch 2g and mp3 format? Or need better mp3 player and format in order to see the different? Was listening to relaxation music/piano/pop, is fischer eterna suitable for playing those? Or have any better recommendation? My preference is that it sound more original and clear. |

Hi all.
I wanna know, headphones(circum) tat you guys normally recommend for budget of +-RM250, is it comfortable for prolonged usage? I've tried a Sony in my uni, it's very comfortable, as the 'earpiece'(sorry dono wat should i call tat part) is angled, to suit the ear's shape, so tat it wont press on your ears. I'm currently using a cheap AVG phones, it produces heat after some time, and the worst part is it makes me ear uncomfortable after 1-2 hours of usage. (yea i have quite a big ear XD) Any comments? Or suggestions for comfortable headphones? |
