I got Full HD (1080p) up scaling DVD player. Planning to buy LCD soon.

Which LCD is suitable to play DVD movies on the player? Full HD or HD Ready panel?

Will the Full HD player can up scaling the DVD in the Full HD panel?

any LCD is suitable to play DVD movies.

Full HD player? You mean a Blu Ray player, right?

I know that.. its about player to deliver the pic to LCD. My player as stated, its HD-dvd player with full scaling 1080p (not only Blu-ray got the feature). So which LCD suitable? HD Ready is enough or Full HD tv will be better?

That what i mean...

Buy FHD to future proof la.

Want to buy new, buy the best, so when bester one come out, you are not completely outdated tongue.gif

Yes.. i agree with that. But for now i just need to know first. If the player can give the good picture enough on HD Ready tv, so go for the cheaper. If the player cannot give the good picture on HD Ready tv... only on Full HD tv can get it, so go for the future proof. Thats all i want to know... the fact. Not opinion.

Thanks

You buy 720p now, 2160p launch tomorrow.

Menyesal giler kot doh.gif

If the TV is suitable with the player, why need to menyesal? I just want to know, not to buy yet.

If buy the very advance LCD, but the player cant give the full scale... also no need. Terpaksa tukar player pulak. lagi menyesal beli player yang dah ada tapi tak guna. Nak kena pakai blu-ray, tak larat beli disc BD (mahal). Mampu setakat DVD. lagi menyesal tak guna sepenuhnya.

So for NOW... just try to get with what i got. I'm not a richman to kejar spec. I also dont like to kejar spec like buying a handphone.

I just like the middle range. For NOW a like the Samsung 40B650 Full HD. If i want to kejar spec, sure i will choose the LED tv.. also the big one.

I'm not like that, thats why i asking to know which LCD tv is suitable with my player. As i said, i agree with you all. But thank for the opinion. I just want a fact only to my question. Just give me the simple answer. Waiting so long to get answer.

If that so.. no use la to talk about LCD TV here. lock this topic and lets go all to the shop.

I see you all talk about LCD TV, so i also want to know just like everyone. I ask a simple question but i get a wrong answer.. even a bad answer. What is my fault? If dont know just ignore it. Maybe if got any Otai here can answer me. I agree to all opinion but i still cant get the answer.

This forum used for sharing an information. But this is the respon i got?... very good.

budget is not the matter...

if my full 1080p HD-DVD player can full upscaling the DVD disc to 1080p on Full HD tv, so i will go for the future proof one like sifu/otai suggested.... as i said i agree with all opinion.

and if the player cannot upscaling the DVD disc so i will go for the cheaper one... get with what i've got only. Not to waste my money... thats all i want to know only.

If your player can't upscale the DVD to Full HD, your Full HD TV will do the upscaling.
