Me, I can't confirm just yet also, but if I'm able to go, most probably I'll be bringing some Salmon/Tuna Bites, and some baked treats for the furkids too

QUOTE(loveydovey_ @ Nov 30 2009, 08:54 PM) it was 4.ish kg.. o.O Hi there, welcome to the Min. Schnauzer thread now he is 6 months old, 6.ish kg.. hmm.. izit normal ? I think he is a bit too fat but the vet said there is nothing to worry ~ guess i think too much then.. thanks for replying Weight I think should not be a problem if the dog is healthy and active. Just because a dog is a little heavier than the standard size does not mean he is overweight. It is probably due to the genes. (maybe one or both of its parents are bigger sized than normal). No worries if your dog is a little bigger...as long as they're healthy, I think that should be more important You should feel the sides of the dog for a better gauge. If the dog is overweight, you would not be able to feel the ribs with a little pressure (kind of like pushing on a soft pillow). If he is underweight, you would be able to feel the ribs very quickly with a light touch. The 'ideal' situation would be applying a little pressure (again like the soft pillow) before feeling the ribs. |

My Wilbur is almost 8kg (1 yrs old), but i don't think to get him to diet....i feel that as long as what we feed is good for them and not affect their health then is OK already |

Just an update on Kimmy. She's 9.5 months now. She came back to stay with me for 2 weeks as my friend went for vacation. And I think I overfed her!! She grew an inch taller, and an inch plus longer....and also chubbier while she was with me. Everyone was shocked at how much she grown!! And how much she sprouted in just 2 weeks. This is her 2nd growth spurt. She was 4kg at 3 months!! Managed to keep her weight steady at 6kg+ and then I kinda overfed her!!
She's bigger than all the MS I know. And her mom is petite! Attached thumbnail(s) |
