yesterday went to shopping mall and tried to put on some florshiem Imperial models. very comfortable and the build quality is good.
But price is almost 100 bucks extra than the price listed in their website.

Next Feb will go to Singapore, will check for other brands. Any recommended places to visit?

Bought a pair of Church's Chetwynd last week at Singapore. My first pair of English made shoes.

Fit is nice and comfort, loving it. lol

Would be good if seller can declare item as leather shoes.

Custom don't care what brand and what model of your shoe, as long as declare as leather shoe then you are good.

Good choice. Most people are overinvested in watches and woefully underinvested in shoes. But shoes have a bigger impact than watches.
*
Not true, shoes and watches have same impact, both must be paired.

Hmmm, I dunno, I never wear a watch and nobody ever says anything. But if I go around without shoes...

Then this will be different story....
my reply was response to your statement earlier.

I hope you guys are not trolling me. I was genuinely curious. =/

Added on March 28, 2011, 7:49 pmsilvertan, brand or design of the watch contribute more to the impact?
*
I would say design contributed more. You don't want to see a man in suit with nice leather shoes wearing a plastic sport watch, right?
For me, i have different type of watches, depend on what occasion, what outfit then i will choose which watch to wear.
leather strap (black, brown), small dial, big dial, round dial, square dial or metal bracelet.

don't need to compete the brand, just choose the right watch to match your outfit. Tha'ts why i said design come first.

outfit (shirt, suit) belt, watch, shoes, bags all are connected.

An expensive watch just to proof they are rich, doesn't mean they have taste with fashion.

ironically, i just received the reply from Alka Doshi today at 12:45pm. this is what he wrote:

'Dear Sir,

Thank you for your inquiry.

We have Saphir Pate De Lux Wax and Saphir Creme Surfine in black, light brown and medium brown.

Thank you
Alka Doshi'

like you have pointed out, they carry very limited saphirs.

btw, silverstan, care to share where did you get those, and how much?
*
From Valmour directly.
You get VAT discounted outside of EU, just pay for shipping and i'm lucky enough to get no duties & taxes at Malaysia custom.
