As a big shoe fans like me, over the years, not exactly many years, less than 3 years, at the age of 21, I am a proud owner of perfect 31 pairs of shoes.

However, for shoes, I would definitely suggest english shoes for gentleman. They are really well made, and if the shoes are made by Goodyear Construction, you are able to assure the shoes are able to do resoling after years of wearing them. Think John Lobb, Church, Edward Green.. Etc. However, not to forgot one of the most worn by the elite shoe brand, Berluti. Think Andy Warhol, they specially made a pair for him.

Good shoes are never comfortable as their soles are made by Leather or wood. So, I would suggest a pair of driving shoes for people who wants to combine style and comfort. They are really conformable and perfect for traveling. Tod's and Car Shoes made perfect ones. Car shoes are the founder of driving shoes but Tod's is the one which are more stylish. If you happen to travel to more resort or island places like Bali, St.Tropez, etc then espadrilles is probably the best choice. I love my espadrilles and wore them almost most of the trip.

For sandals, Birkenstock made very good sandals. However, for a more stylish choice, Jil Sander really made great sandals, fantastic designs but terribly uncomfortable.

Last but not least, sneakers. Leather sneakers are the good choice for leisure and gym. I have one from Z Zegna and it's so understated yet comfortable for Gym. Maison Martin Magiela DHL ones are the funky street type for young lads like me. And a Dunhill x Poulsen Skone, a old shoe manufacturer from UK. They collaborated this series of sneaker which is very well made yet youthful. And I would suggest Hogan for those who want a very comfortable and stylish designs for sneakers.

My collection of shoes.

My favorite of all time is probably Salvatore Ferragamo who accompany me for both of my graduation and lots of trips with the pair of Espadrilles.

Midnight102, where do you get your Maison Martin Magiela from?

Do you wear leather sneakers to gym? Won't they stink more?

I bought this from Club 21 Men Singapore. You can find all the multi labels such as Maison Martin Margiela, Balenciaga Men, Pierre Hardy, John Galliano etc from Club 21 Men store in Hilton Gallery Singapore, inside Hilton Hotel. I bought several pair of my shoes there.

No, leather sneakers doesn't stinks. But, I suggest you apply some anti perspiring spray to your feet before you gym. But, if it's Faux Leather, then I bet it stinks.

I Heart Shoes. Over the years I bought a pretty wide range of shoes from sport sneakers to designer dress shoes. However, I don't think all shoes are really comfortable and stylish at the same time.

These are part of the shoes I owned and worn before.

Tod's Limited Edition Country Mocassino Gommini

Comfort Level: 5/10
Tod's shoes are suppose to be stylish and perfect for jet setting exotic holidays. But, while I tried on the pair and worn for a day. It cause serious ache at the end of the day. The design I bought is not water resistant like most of the leather shoes. It will have some water stain on the leather once the shoes get water drops. So, it's quite troublesome sometimes. Especially, while raining, your heart just sank. So, now my 2 weeks old shoes looks quite dirty by now.

Brian Atwood Ontario Boot

Comfort Level: 7/10
Brian Atwood is the current creative director for Bally. His own label Brian Atwood is worn by many hollywood celebrity such as Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardarshian and so on. This Ontario Boot is surprisingly very comfortable. Non of a single pair looks the same because of the tie-dye effect on the Suede boot. Hence, you need to take out all the available same size pair to choose the exact pair you love.

Bally Espadrilles

Comfort Level: 4/10
Espadrilles is one of the best shoes for traveling. It is light and easy to wear on. However, this pair of lambskin Bally Espadrilles looks really cute but not comfortable to walk at all. The leather hurts the feet and the leather sole is not a walking friendly sole to walk.

Moreschi Lace Up

Comfort Level: 4/10
This pair of Moreschi Lace Up is made of 2 different tone of brown leather and looks really stylish on jeans or suit. But, don't expect it to be comfortable. It's leather soles are not walking friendly.

Jil Sander Sandals

Comfort Level: 3/10
Jil Sander is the only designer who create the most adorable sandals for every seasons. The looks very stylish but extremely painful. The first day I worn the shoes to school, I can't walk after 1/2 a day. After 7 months wearing it, I still feel very painful. But it's just too stylish.

Zegna Sport Sneaker

Comfort Level: 8/10
Zegna Sport Sneaker is very comfortable and understated. Probably the only shoes I could run with it. But, design wise is very simple and not that stunning compare to a designer sneaker.

Puma x Neil Barrett 96 Hours Sneaker

user posted image

Comfort Level: 8/10
96 Hours is a range of Puma sports sneaker design by Neil Barrett. It's the best of both world for comfort and function. But it is less stylish compare to Puma by McQueen range.

Maison Martin Margiela DHL Sneaker

Comfort Level: 7/10
The only Maison Martin Margiela Line 22 Sneaker I owned. I bought it purely because it's unique and a DHL design are pretty stunning. It's comfortable for a lambskin designs. The sneaker won't hurt your feet even it's a new pair.
