Hi All,

Newbie here. A frequent follower to this forum and thread in particular, but I've never had anything to contribute... until now, that is. :-)

Despite studying and living in England before, I've never truly appreciated English handcrafted shoes. When dressing in casuals or even smart casual, I've always preferred donning sports shoes. I own a decent collection of Nike, Adidas and Puma shoes. For the office or more formal occasions, you'd probably find me in a pair of Zara, Gucci or Givenchy shoes. Perhaps it's because I'm growing older, but I now find myself wanting to dress smarter... even if it's casual. Anyhow, I've recently ordered 3 pairs from Herring Shoes:

1. Herring Fencote - Chestnut Calf and Navy Suede
2. Herring Hyde - Chestnut White
3. Herring Jekyll - Black White

Additionally, I ordered 3 sanded wood expanding trees and the dark wood valet box. The damage so far (after subtracting VAT and adding GBP30.00 delivery cost via UPS) comes to GBP738.29.

I can hardly wait to receive them! cool2.gif

^3 pairs from the same company with similar designs? Why?

To go with jeans, chinos and black trousers... different looks.

The chestnust white will look good with chinos, light blue shirt and Ralph Lauren navy blue blazer for instance. The black white will look good with black trousers, plain white shirt plus a black & white polka dot day cravat.

These are additions to the shoes I bought last month, namely black Gucci brogues, black Gucci oxfords, tan Gucci chelsea boots, black Givenchy Chelsea boots and tan Tod's slip.

Just starting out... cool2.gif
