both are by paul smith. picture taken after spending a good 1 & 1/2 hrs cleaning, sunbathing and polishing those two on easter eve. the one on the left has leather sole, Blake construction, whilst the other, rubber sole, glued-on.

no offense taken, bloke1 . it may sound silly but how could one tell if it is corrected leather, especially on black shoes? i was made to understand that most black shoes come in corrected leather. and if one could mirror himself, it is most likely made of corrected leather.

don't be surprised. some OEMs will assemble like 90% of the products and ship them back to the country of origin to finish up the rest, and they are allowed to label it as made in 'country of origin'.

btw, if you have been to italy, you should know that there is nothing to shout about; some rural areas/suburbans are more terrifying than our chow kit road. you feel unsecured when travel alone at night; there are too many immigrants there.
