QUOTE(littlewing @ Jun 3 2012, 12:30 AM) niceee 1. Check the weather forecast before choosing your shoesAdded on June 3, 2012, 12:40 am Hi attacusatlas, wanna ask how do u keep your shoes waterproof ? everytime i walk in the rain... my burnish chestnut coloured shoe will get water stains ... do u know how to prevent this ? 2. Apply polish with waterproofing compounds 3. Overshoes - Maybe not be so much protection for the uppers, but definitely useful to keep the soles dry. ![]() |

Loake and Grenson are reputable English brands. In the same price range, you can consider Barker, or save up a bit for a pair of C&Js. Allen Edmonds is the American alternative.

QUOTE(dwin95 @ Sep 7 2012, 11:09 PM) Quick question. The spring is supposed to be bent and fitted inside the shoe. I suspect you may have bought trees that are too large.Got a plastic shoe tree for my el cheapo leather shoe I got off a department store. (As below) However, the spring seems to be very stiff and its hard to fit the whole tree in. For now I only have the head shoved down to the shoe cap and left the ball part behind outside the shoe (above the heel region) as Im afraid I would damage them. Has anyone used such shoe tree before? Please advise. Thanks! ![]() QUOTE(khorkahyong @ Sep 7 2012, 11:34 PM) anyone of you guys know if there is a good brand for shoes in UK?? Check out plal, they have some fine English shoes eg Cheaneys.recently got brainwash by realmenrealstyle.com so i'm going to get a pair of nice shoe and i'm confused whether to buy it here or in UK. i'm looking for a loafer or leather shoe but not sport shoes. the most expensive shoe i got is from salvatore ferragamo, a brown casual leather shoe. it feels hard at first but fits real well after, design is great and looks like a pair of good quality shoe. Added on September 7, 2012, 11:42 pmby the way, i think i can only afford around 700 or 1000 top for a real nice shoe. i also prefer good quality casual shoes with lower price, like around 400. heard that clark/geox/hush puppies produce some great quality shoes. |

3 years ago I had mostly sneakers. Now other than a couple OTs my shoes mainly consist of dress shoes, 6 pairs to be exact.

QUOTE(ardiv @ Dec 11 2012, 11:19 PM) Oh sorry, should have elaborated moreĀ Design-wise, it is miles better than any of the square toed shoes you find on most office-going guys in KL. But the contrast coloured stitching and the use of suede-like material makes it look like a half way shoe. Half way between casual and dress that is. If you're looking for a dress shoe, I suggest looking for another pair. This is my first time hearing about H Hudson but from the looks of the picture you posted, its a pretty decent shoe, I like the design but I'm a full leather type of person, if leather was used for the material around the lacing I would definitely buy one especially for RM 250. From the looks of the sole, it should probably last about 1 year+ depending on how often you wear it. If you really like the design then go for it! No comment on the construction, probably would last 1-2 years if I had to make a guess. This post has been edited by deriku: Dec 12 2012, 02:13 PM |

QUOTE(newx @ Feb 24 2013, 12:11 AM) With due respect kid, we don't discuss this kind of shoes in this thread. If I were one those 2 gentlemen, I would not be wearing shoes for fear of my channelled, monogrammed leather soles being ruined by saltwater.Imagine you are one of these two gentlemen. Would you be wearing the same shoes? ![]() Oh and I absolutely disagree with your profile pic/sig, but that's a topic for another thread... |

Cheaneys there are most likely factory slight seconds hence the discount. No way to tell for sure what model unless you have the box or it's printed on the shoe. Nonetheless doesn't take away the fact that these are way better than your typical Rockports, Clark's etc...
