I was doing research on the Edward Green and found these:
(adopted from blog.leffot.com)

leather soles in my case.

no, Beau, I am not referring to storing shoes in the house. i was talking about storing these shoes inside the cotton bag and in the suitcase when travelling.

regarding the cabinet to keep shoes in the house, i am thinking of getting 1 made also from teak wood, cant think of any design yet.
i just made 1 box to store my shoe care stuff from teakwood last week....yea yea i know i can easily use an old shoe box..LOL

BV,

Here's a thought. We should look at coming out with a design which everyone will like & do a group commission/buy. What do you think?

sounds like a great idea! count me in!!

Didn't see anything interesting, some Loakes at uncompetitive prices, but I wasn't interested in the shoes.

It's the small things that matter! They sell Falken socks. A wool/cotton pair was going for 10 Euros.

Try finding navy shoe polish in Malaysia! I'll suk your dik if you're successful!

care to share how much per saphir cost there? also, can you find any shoe cream in oxblood?

Manufacturing defect or accident?

It's difficult to say without physically seeing the shoe to ascertain it's construction. Offhand it doesn't look hopeful
*
thanks for your reply.

that was due to man-made accident. i was wondering if i can use some sort of shoe clay to cover it, follow by polishing to reduce the eyesore.

i happened to pass by the cobbler at the curve yesterday and picked up a few things:

user posted image

saphir (50ml) = rm29.90 (plal's price is better)
coxy (250ml) = rm39.90

there was a waterproof spray for leather and suede by avel (the mother company of saphir) but selling at rm89.90 for a 400ml bottle.

I was told by the chubby lady there the saphir medaille d'or cream (as shown below) is only meant for glossy type leather. can some one please confirm on this?

burgundy and neutral waxes? hmmm, there goes my petty salary.

i can recall kotmj mentioned before that blue wax can give intense character to shoes as well.

You'll be surprise how many females remark about a man's shoe particularly if it's well polished. Or negatively if it's worn out & shabby.

i concur.

I've had two of my posts, as usual saturated with rare sartorial knowledge, removed by the mods. It's unbelievable.
the long winding one? i think there were deleted due to the breach of words limitation.

Nice hat and shoes, I actually got the herring hampstead semi-brogue which are rebranded Loake 1880s, excellent customer service... only 3 working days from UK to Melbourne. Here they are... mind the slight scuffs, I have not gotten round to giving them a polish yet...

[attachmentid=1858001][attachmentid=1858002]
In regard to winter boots, I'm also interested in a getting one soon for winter, but I think I'll get a leather one and probably topy it. Not sure if you know this, but if you spend over 100GBP on herring shoes you can actually use a coupon code to claim a free pair of cedar shoe trees (like the ones in my shoes). not sure if they're any use for boots tho but hey, they're free..... biggrin.gif . Oh and they also  included shoe bags, a shoe horn and a tin of tan polish....

I'm thinking of visiting northampton when I head up to Europe next year, hopefully it'll coincide with the period the shoemakers go on sale as well... but for now, I'm keen on getting one or two more basic shoes for everyday wear. Probably more from their Herring classic range

Love those semi-brogues you have though, what make, last and fit are they? (I'm a wide-fit which unfortunately limits the types of shoes I can wear... sad.gif )
*
those are nice pair.

Thanks! love those oxblood Paul Smiths and the socks! rclxms.gif  I really need to invest in the socks department as well....ahaha....

thanks. socks are by happy socks.

btw, how did you get the discount coupon for the herring shoes that you bought? i can't seem to find any info on free shoe tree and shoe wax.
