my TV is not Full HD thought, it is Panasonic 42" HD ready Plasma, does it matter?

no AV receiver, straight from the player to TV

already change the disk once, tomorrow will change again, hopefully everything will be ok, plan to buy lotsa Bluray Disk 

I believe it is something to do with BD Live. Make sure u have shut off the BD Live function totally in the Panasonic player 1st. Then if possible, can you erase all BD Live data. Reboot the system and try again.

Try updating the BDP-60's firmware. If you've never updated it since you brought the player home, connect it to the internet and get it updated. The most recent firmware is v2.0. When mine was at v1.9 it constantly locks up during boot up. So far its acting "ok" with the latest firmware.

Players only check for BD-Live connection during loading, before getting to menu. He managed to get the dusc loaded and access the main menu. The problem is only when he click on play.

I am not sure if the attempt to download content on BD Live had started. A lot of players do funny things when their persistent storage gets corrupted. One way would be to erase all BD Live data and retry without the BD Live turned on at all. This is being reported in a number of players. Some newer Fox discs (eg. Wolverine) seem to lock up when there is less than 1GB of persistent storage for BD Live. Thereafter, nothing plays, it just freezes. The only way to unfix it is to delete the persistent storage, turn off BD Live for good, then play the movie. Its worth a try.

never thought a Bluray player could be so complicated

anyway i got my Transformer Bluray from a 'friendly neighborhood store'

i tried 2 disk for over 20 times, every time, it will load the Main Menu without fail, i can "select" all the scene from there, it just won't "play"

i already set the Internet Access to Prohibited, it should turned off all BD live right?

how to erase the BD live data? i never connect it to the internet, shouldn't have any data?

just upgraded to the latest firmware by using a CD, still no play, hopefully the store has a copy that will play on my player

maybe its china Bd,look exactly 99% like BD cover, easily can conned ppl thinking its a "master copy". inside its exactly like DVD,no 1080p. kesian my friend,all this while buying it for rm10 a piece,kept thinking its a bluray copy.(mentally siok sendiri), AV setup more than rm20k,but dont want to buy REAL Bd,pity him,malas to nasihat him anymore.  

for bd-60,can we insert  2gig sd card or bigger size?

Yes. Of course, I am using 6GB now.

alright, just bought a Panasonic DMP-BD60 and a copy of Transformer Bluray

after I put in the disk,

first - the Paramount Introduction Picture come up

second - it ask me to select a language

third - it proceed to display the Bluray Top Menu, the one that say: Play; Setting; Features

when I select 'Play', it just 'hanged'? or so I think..

is this a disk problem or a region problem? I have already changed the disk once..

pls advise.. 

Have you updated the firmware on your BD player?

The latest firmware for BD60 is 1.9

Actually the latest is 2.0 issued on September 14, 2009.
