In Malaysia, salary about

1.5- 2.7k is basic normal..
2.8k-5K just average good only..
If can get 6K -10k++ salary consider extra good/luxury abit.

My fren work as MAS pilot getting about RM20K mthly...
Another fren of mine as work as pilot with UAE get about USD18K monthly....


My salary?
Tech support work - RM5k mthly
Stock div - RM 1k mthly

Stock profit - uncertain.. dpd.. sumtimes even higher than my mthly salary..
So those earn less salary, can try safe money and learn to invest to make ur money grow faster.

Its depends on ur investment plan and holding power.
For newcomer, its better to invest in strong defensive with div counters.
Better spend some time to understand all the types of stock available and learn from experienced investors or stock brokers.
Once u have knowledge then only go invest. You need to get real life trading experience.... u cant just learn from book or stock games...

Every mth, more than 50% of my salary will go into stocks.. the more units i buy, the more div i get.
If the share price goes up, more profits.
So far i've invest for abt 5 yrs+ and the returns is very good... more the 400% from my capitals.

If i put FD.. each year about 4%... 5 yrs.. 20% returns only..
so investment is a very good way to grow ur $$.

Ur money can grow very fast if u invest in strong good stock...
but beware.. stock market is also a dangerous place to burn ur money if u dun plan ur investment well.

Pls, go do some research on stock 1st if interested.
Last time i spend abt 6-8mth to learn the basic fundamental abt stock investing, learn to trade via virtual real-time trading games,
get info and stock recommendation from my remiser, etcs.. bfr start to investing using real $$.

Not bad, only 3 mths probation.
After get confirm, ur salary ard 3k.
Getting salary ard 3k not bad.
12 hrs morning 1 single shift only.

Last time i work with Schlumberger-Atos as Network Operator/Engineer. (1 yr contract) - abt 7 years ago..
also 12 hrs shift 8am-8pm /8pm- 8am. Work 2 days, off 2 days. The day/night shift will rotate after the 2 days off.
Have 2 hrs break on working days. Very tirng especially night shift and end of the mth where need to do alot batch processing, printing and sort out the reports to mail out. Sleeping pattern need to adjust alot. Sometimes i just go sleep for 2 hrs during my break at night shift work..

Pay?
Basic RM 2800.
Shift Allowance RM 500.
Public holiday work get 2X pay and transportation can claim, oil, petrol, toll just produce receipt.

I'm from KL, current salary max abt 4.8k. w/o include the performance bonus, medical & dental
Have RM700 max subsidy for hp, internet usage. Been working for 6 yrs+.
Senior Exec tech suport position. Starting pay abt 3k, with yearly increment abt 5%

Recently i was offered to work in Penang as System Support Engineer Lead.
The salary was RM5500, 1 mth contractual bonus, medical & dental, 50% car loan interest subsidize. + perfomance bonus 1-2 mths depending on company profits year end.
So roughly mthly salary w/o include the performance bonus is abt RM5958.
I ask for salary RM8K neg.. but the HR said max already.. cant offer more than 6k include the contractual bonus..

It seems Penang offer better pay than KL.. but its in Industrial area and need transportation to reach the office unlike KL where i can take LRT easily.
Thats why the Penang company encourage staff to buy car by subsidize 50% of car loan interest.

So if round out the figure..

KL - 5K
Penang - 6K

Not so sure whether should go Penang.. damn.. the work seems interesting coz Lead position.
Only the salary minus the car expenses seems back to same only....

So which is better? Work in Penang or KL?

11900 Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang.

Wow.. rm500 can rent one big 2x storey House.. If single room abt rm150?

I estimate monthly expenses abt 1k...
My KL expenses also abt 1k. I save alot on transportation coz take lrt to work.

Housing - rm500
LRT - rm 60
Food - 450 -
HP & Internet - Free.

If KL can get higher salary range den gud. But System support salary kinda low compares to other field of job.

Last time when work in PJ, i have wira ab.. but later when go job in KL.. i sold tat junk away.

Save alot money.. no need pay for petrol, parking, car insurance & roadtax...
Hm... 6 yrs no car.. wtf.. Thinking of buying neighbour Civic 2.0 - rm93k but dun think its a wise choice coz i still work in KL now.

Yea.. how much the room/house rates in Penang Island?
