I am an E&E (major electronics) engineering student which will be graduationg soon. Currently I am bonded under scholarship with a construction company in msia (GLC) which I will be assign as M&E engineer if I were to join them after grad. However, the field of work is bias towards electrical whereas my major is electronics. Pros of the job is good pay and benefits while Cons is working 6 days a week.
I will be undergoing internship soon hence I am trying to apply for a good electronics company to try, but if I decided to join the electronics company then I have to pay back all my scholarship amount.
What do you guys thin about this?

Wah, this is very nice. Hee... PM me the company name can ar? Added on August 18, 2010, 12:45 pmQUOTE(jitshiong @ Aug 18 2010, 09:16 AM) hahaha, not sure if we are talking bout the same company lol! i suggest u try with that company first, but do ur internship at a E&E position. Maybe at a manufacturing to get a hold of what E&E feels like. Construction, more interesting, not so mundane compared to factory work Erm. True, I have my training in the company b4, construction is interesting, just the working hours is long la. So will try my coming internship in E&E field to decide which one I prefer. Thanks ya. QUOTE(mazer6446 @ Aug 19 2010, 08:50 AM) i don't know man.. some people says.. working at this type of job: offshore/shiping etc.. it just like you trade your life with money man.. yes the income maybe much higher.. but the life with family n friends will be taken away from you.. time to go hang out with frens.. watching movies, go back to hometown during weekends.. gathering and so on.. if something emergency happens... can we really be there around people we love? i think its depends on how much you want to sacrified , for me i choose the balance of both True, not to mention off shore. Construction also. Thats why I still doubt whether to work in construction line or in electronics. Cos I have went for training once for 2 mths, construction work 6 days a week, so kinda impossible to go back unless taking leave. I believe Offshore condition must be worse than construction lo. Money or Family?
