QUOTE(jackylow_86 @ Apr 10 2010, 01:46 PM) location: damansara kim It's considered very good since you have 0 experience, normally others would get about 1.5 to 1.8k only, 2 - 3 month bonus fuhhh i wish my company did that... after 2nd year you will feel like upgrading ur self... this is just our instinct... just follow it bachelor of accounting---> restaurant line experience= 0 (fresh grad) Starting pay RM2k probation period = 6 months (depend on ur performance, if ok will be confirm early, mine 3 months) bonus= 2 or 3 months current pay = RM2.2k this consider good ??? |

but if its a permanent position I am sure there are other benefits ,, like medical , or maybe holiday with company villa or something. There are times that not only salary is the benchmark of a a job.

WadToDo,
If you have a hospitality degree, the starting would be lesser than those with a banking degree. Bank jobs offer the highest pay for fresh graduate in the market nowadays. Some do offer up to 3k excluding allowances etc. For your case, you would probably start as a junior or senior hospitality staff, starting would be around RM500-1100 max. If ya a kitchen staff probably around RM800-RM1400. Sous chef as the latter. Kitchen hand helper around RM800 and junior chef/commis cook max around RM1200, while sous chef from RM1000-RM1500. Its a very bad paid industry to work in especially in malaysia unless you are daring and willing to relocate to dubai or australia. Even china are offering better pay now due to rapid development and higher inflation rate. Some bigger hotels offer up to RMB6000 for their staffs including free meals, allowances and accomodation. RMB6000 is about RM3000. |
