I suppose technically one is an Amanah account whereas the other is normal account? In daily use I think not much difference as you can access all the services at normal or amanah branches regardless.
I think it is just a way round for HSBC to open more branches in Malaysia by using Amanah. Same like what all the other foreign banks are doing - Standard Chartered, etc.
