Just got myself the RB drumkit unfortunately there seems to be no ASIA version of the game or was i just seriously out of luck?

I got a hold of the demo downloaded from marketplace unfortunately it only came with a few songs, now i really wanna play the game but everywhere i go they say they dont have the rockband for xbox? Then how in the world did i manage to get the drum kit in the first place if there are no games meant for it? =-(

seriously that's just sad, and since i got both ps3 and xbox i might want to sell the drumkit and get the full set for ps3.

another thing though, since u need gold membership to play online for xbox what about PS network?does it mean i get to play free and will only be charged if i want to download songs for RB?

any sifu can clarify?

thanks alot.

There is an asian version of RB1 but no asian version of RB2 for xbox 360. The australians are apparently still waiting for RB2 as well. Silver membership for xbox live means you can't play online but you can still pay for DLC which is region free for RB.

what about PSN online play for RB, anyone know if its free(since PSN is free)

2 possible places might have it if you're in the PJ area - software boutique in ss2 or gamer's hideout at the curve. google for their contact details.

i bought it from a gadget shop in singapore and it is a RB1 drum. They gave me 2 sets, one is US version which is SGD299 and the other is asia version(i compared both boxes they are the same, from MTV/EA/Harmonix also) but the asia version is only SGD79? converted its only around rm200! I then asked the salesperson to clarify what is the difference, the salesperson said one is imported from US and the other is released for asia in which both are essentially the same.Without further adue, i bought it straight away. What a steal! sumore it is new!

thanks guys i will go to the aforementioned shop to look out for RB disc.BTW i just found out the drum works on guitar hero series, the interface changed itself from 3 drums at bottom to 4 drums like RB in the game! However i really can't stand the clacking from the RB1 drums, need to either get pads or upgrade to RB2 drums.

Interesting bit of info, Rock Band 2 apparently has been confirmed to go down to Australia. If we're lucky, that would mean an Asian release would follow, similar to how the release dates for the Asian and Aussie versions of RB1 were close.

Although, for the new games Beatles Rock Band and Lego Rock Band, since BRB was apparently region free, we can assume that Lego Rock Band would be region free too, however with the Asian release of BRB, we could also assume there will be an Asian Lego too.

Or, you could just buy a PS3.

For the RB2 in Australia? It's been classified PG for Mild Coarse Language, so that's all I can use to guess.
For the LEGO Rock Band region free? That's just a speculation, I don't really know.

Don't get your hopes up boy, no one ever said anything about exporting RB1 songs into LEGO Rock Band.
There's gonna be DLC, but no one said anything about it being part of the universal RB1/RB2 DLC stuff.

I want an Asian RB3 though :3

Actually it's already been reported that it will be part of the Rock Band platform.

I'll try to find an official harmonix source for you but this is where i read it first http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2009/08/rock-band-queen/

I don't feel like buying band hero which is out at the time.

I'm happy that taylor swift is on band hero and imma let you finish, but Lego: Rock Band is the best (family orientated) rhythm music game of all time! OF ALL TIME!
