I remember the argument i had with a colleague in a previous convo, about motivation of people. managerial skills rely a lot on the clapping on both hands. you can have a great motivating manager and at some point it could be a total deciding factor of how the team performs. but it could be vice versa as well. motivation comes from so many angles, stability, personal influence, blah blah blah....

the power of the mind comes from oneself, walking in the field knowing full well that you represent a totality of a club, its history and its passion, maybe we seem to have players lacking in that.

the manager or the staff team can only do so much but its also the influences of personal as well as the owners to play a part in this. ultimately its the player,the one that goes into the field that would know what they want.

bro, to solely blame Rafa for buying them is kinda unfair.

scouts and recommendations as well as media influences also plays a great deal in any hype over a player and what not.

we can't say we bought all the players wrongly. same like a product.. its a preference. How he seems to buy mainly spanish players is because its
his comfort zone and for that fact alone i can't fault him as its human nature to buy or make a decision based on a level of comfort,  at least he is a little more adventurous of late tho.

in short, he may have bought them ultimately he also bought them based on a long process of approvals by the owners and other factors. we can blame him all we want but i still think as much as a manager plays god, they aren't.

we can never be able to tell who can gel or not unless we try them on the pitch. its more to chance and trial and error. as much as i hate to admit it, its like that isn't it?

I just think Rafa's system is too rigid and so he isn't getting the best out of his players.
