Why choose Propus cores?
Isnt is Deneb cores having the probabilities of unlocking the caches?

I  also think that 45nm running on 1.4 is quite high...juz buzz my mind after reading his reply just now..

Like on stock cooling when I test with prime on X2 1.35v peak at 63c and X4 1.35v peak more than 85c!!!!This is using my unlock X2 550 BE...
*
i dont think for u it is high.
for me yes since i using such a lousy cooler.. 1.35vcore prime x2 50++ edi..
and also i swear i never prime my rig more then 1.4.. max i ever prime for 1 hr is 1.392v...

depends on how 'extreme' the person is laugh.gif laugh.gif

Allrite, explaination on why 1.4 is quite high...
pls check for core temp/realtemp or watever can show core temp.
u may found why i said is quite high.
for this baby i can check thru bios, running idle is 38...
and if my estimation correct, 1.4v in windows won't be exceed 50 base on what mobo read.

the real different is from core temp.
by slightly increasing voltage, u may found the core temp when full load will reached TJMax(the reading depend on what die you own) easily.
while by using other than air cooling it is easily to lower the idle temp for each core near 35 and it will never reach TJMax so easy.

owh.. these words.. i been hit by them from uncle digs..and its bleeding till now..

@Westley.
depends on ur cooler to determine 1.4v is low or high.. on stock cooler sure high but on TRUE or even CCF i belive that is quite a low figure... (and im talking about air)..

if increase vcore
i concern more about my mobo and my bills rather then my proc...

so...try more dude... make it the max so that ppl here get poisoned and buy them instead.. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif
just tu ask, propus die or deneb? i wud love to see propus more...

Tried unlock L3 Cache?
Try unlock 1st.Maybe i would assume high VCore above 1.47/1.5V..Depends on processor.

Hehehe...The way I determine high is by looking at the change of color in the vcore options value...If red than it means 'high', if not I will assume that it is still acceptable... whistling.gif

By the way, I was trying to upload this;

Air cooling is still air cooling, haha.
Tried few air cooling before.
Even Gemini S..., but always having this and that issue, either blocking ram/other cooling etc...
But WC is not bad, if install it in a case, i will use my d-tek block.
crosshair II didn't give option to unlock core/cache, haha
core:
CADAC AD 0931EPCW
Quite a new core.
