I think no need to look for the speed, look for the volt.. 1.4v and below is recommended with air colling

Detected wrongly
IMO, it detect based on the CPU VID.. but not the increment setting |

QUOTE(Sib @ Nov 22 2009, 06:30 PM) does u read the guide at the first page?it should able to help you to find out. when u change the HTT (ram freq, HT link and NB speed will change).. u just need to know the name in your bios first. read the first page, and i'm sure u will come with the new result.. since ur ram is 1066, i don't see any point why u want to tweak ur ram..
unless u want to push ur component to the max that the component able to run, such as, u want to push ur ram beyond 1066.. for ddr2, best to tweak 5-5-5-15-20 and below, if wanna use cl6 , u might get higher ram speed, but likely ddr3 setting which i don't prefer... pump vdimm, and push ur HTT like +5 .. then u ram speed will change.. either it's successful or not, based on the test.. |

QUOTE(astria @ Nov 29 2009, 12:11 PM) hi guys... CPU FID/VID control allow you to move the volt in high interval, once you try to find more precise in volt that's the function of CPU overvoltage. (the increment so little)thinking of giving my 5200+ Brisbane some oc... currently at 235MHz, dropped HT to x4, and RAM at 667MHz config... at this config, it can boot, load windows, but would auto restart, so want to give it a mild electric shock (aka increase vcore) but the oc menu of my mobo (Biostar TA790GX XE) is pretty confusing... on 1 hand it has the "CPU FID/VID Control", where i can set the CPU voltage between (and inclusive of) 0.800V to 1.350V, and a "Voltage Configuration:, which gives the option of "CPU Overvoltage", allowing of small increment of voltage, each step is +0.012V... so which one should i go for first??? Tweak it according ur need. |

for beginner, stick with default voltage or make it 1.35V and below.
play with multiplier only.. don't so hurry.. make it slowly.. |
